Next to pitching, moving Choo is a high priority for me. I like Choo but a part time RF/DH riding his contract is over the top. Young players waiting in line can really help this club. Accomplish that and in another year good things can happen that are presently on hold.

I'm sure that some team would be more than happy to send us a couple of minor league players for Choo and $35M

I agree. Let's trade him and pick up a prospect or two. We probably will have to eat half his salary, but that is fine with me.

the idea of depending on DeShields in center makes me uncomfortable. his spaghetti arm and poor reaction and routes on fly balls are worrisome and costly. baserunners show no fear on running on him

One name I heard mention that we would trade for him is Mazara. That is why 2 years is not nearly long enough. He will be costly. Having him doesn't mean we are signing him to a multi-year deal.

i see Ozuna and Mazara as the cornerstones in our outfield with Traveres roaming center between them but that is just my dream
