Starting to think the bullpen is going to be a shitshow this year.

Couldn’t be much worse then last year right?

Looking back on it, I think our bullpen cost us between 15-20 wins or something like that.

At least Dyson isn’t here to blow 5 games in the first 2 weeks of the season again.

Am I the only one whose disappointed to see tony Barnette back?

Not a huge investment so no big deal to me re Barnette. More concerned about collective whole. Interested more re Timmy and if Minor heads to pen. Still early to have any definite opinion

Martinez will become the No. 60 prospect on the Baseball America Top 100, two spots behind White Sox center fielder Luis Robert and one ahead of Blue Jays center fielder Anthony Alford. Martinez would become the No. 3 prospect in the Rangers' farm system, behind outfielders Willie Calhoun (No. 36) and Leody Taveras (No. 51).

I wonder of anyone will have Julio Martinez ranked above Taveras?

We were once very disappointed that we couldn't sign Cliff Lee to a contract. Instead we signed a pretty good player named Beltre. This year we were very disappointed that we couldn't sign Otani to a contract. Instead, we look to be about to sign Julio Pablo Martinez. Maybe in 7 years we will look back and be glad Otani made us go in a different direction as well.

I was more disappointed that Lee didn't come back.
Me as well, but I would still put my disappointment in us not getting Otani in the "very disappointed" category. Although, Otani may be the more successful pitcher over the life of their respective contracts.

Mainly, I was trying to hope for a silver lining.

We'll see. I have my doubts about Ohtani.

They also missed out or didn’t sign that really good hitter for the White Sox.

Forgot the story on that, but he would’ve plugged a hole at first base for us.

Yeah, we got in a bidding war with the White Sox and wouldn't go any higher so they signed Abreu. But we got Fielder that offseason instead. It is kind of the antithesis of my previous scenario.
