"Honestly, I didn't feel they needed me there," Wade said. "I feel that those guys are in a good place. They deserve to come back this year and see what that 30-11 was about. They don't need me there over their shoulder or anything like that. That's kind of how I approached it."

Though Wade is seeking a fourth NBA title elsewhere, his name is synonymous with South Beach and the Heat organization, so it only makes sense that when the time comes, the 2006 Finals MVP would want to go out with a Heat jersey on his back.

That about sums up what Heat fans have said since he left.

They tried that once against the Heat in an attempt to negate Whiteside.
It lasted about 4 minutes.
Love couldn't stay out of foul trouble.
Wont work.

I mean it depends. Most teams don't have a true Center like Whiteside. Most teams centers are either useless or a Center in a PF body like love. At the end of the day we're likely looking at a Cavs/Warriors finals again in June. With the way the Warriors play, Starting Love and having TT come off the bench makes more sense for Cleveland especially if they want to win the title.

Those little logos/badges are hardly visible. I don't mind them if it makes the team a couple of extra bucks.

Most don't, but I still say if he's defending around the basket, he's going to foul.
He's not a skilled defender.
If he ends up on the perimeter, then he might be named as a center, but he's not playing center.

I think that ship has sailed truthfully - at this point, the Heat needs to be focused on a rebuild - drafting good players and looking for free agents - Wade isn't exactly an injury free player and there is no promise he will play the entire year. Personally I think the Heat may have easily dodged a bullet in not resigning an aging player

It won't work against the Warriors either - Dray would just be licking his chops down there in the paint

He wouldn't guard Draymond if he starts at C. He would be on Zaza. And Love guarded Draymond most of the finals last year and did a pretty good job.

Not necessarily. If they move Love to center they don't need to go with a traditional center like Pachulia. Steve would be smart to let Dray slide over.

First off Dray doesn't really shoot much so Love guarding Dray doesn't hurt the Dubs. The real problem is Dray would then be guarding Love & well, my money is on DPOY in that match up.

If he keeps playing like he did, he can have it!

they definitely played Kuz a LOTTA minutes tonight. Lopez and Bogut didn't play, we over passed in some situations, and traffic in and out was a bitch...

still, fun game to watch. ..

oh, don't play Nance at the 5 again ...

If Love started at center, I am pretty sure Kerr would be smart enough to adjust and start Iggy instead of Zaza.

That's fine but last year he did a solid job on draymond and had 2 huge offensive games as well

And It meant nothing because the warriors still won easily.

Starting Love at the 5 sounds nice in theory, but it also eliminates one of 2 advantages Cleveland has. GS' small lineup is a lot better than Cleveland's. Making them keep Zaza on the court as long as possible is Cleveland's best chance.
