You look past some of the questionable shit if Immigration is your biggest pet peeve.

As soon as he praised Castro for the way he runs Cuba (my fiance is Cuban, and her uncle has horror stories from his daily interactions with Fidel), I knew I was 100% right in my stance. Kaepernick doesn't have a job because he's an outspoken backup quarterback, not because he's black. The one thing that every football coach, at every level, hates more than anything are distractions. A backup quarterbacks job is to stand on the sidelines, hold the clipboard, wear a baseball cap, keep his mouth shut and be ready to play if needed (and the coaches are hoping he's not needed). The second the press start seeking him out for interviews/quotes, his days are numbered.

It's the same reason Tim Tebow is no longer in the NFL.

If he earns a starting job and plays well, he can say whatever the fuck he wants and he will be considered "a man of principle who is trying to make a difference in the world."
