Gotta agree with the Chuckster on this one. Guys like Wilt Chamberlain had to cram his 7'1" 285 lb. frame into a commercial seat and play back to back to back games. Teams weren't exactly staying in top hotels either.
Nowadays, they have private jets with custom seats, stay in top hotels and have all of their luggage etc. handled for them. But they don't want to play back to back games?
I go to a black church and my pastor is obviously black - he is really dark and growing up the blacks not nearly as dark looked down on him. That was strange to me.Yeah...funny how those biases run both ways.
My Mom was amused.
His Mom....less so.
Which is hypocritical considering his Dad is from Belize and she is Mexican...lol
But, I was TOO black...lmfao
Our generation is much more open-minded.
Love my Mom more than anyone, outside of my kids.
But, her blatant homophobia has caused us to go weeks without talking.
I had to learn to accept that I couldn't change her views, no matter how much it hurt one of our family members who was like a brother to me.
Dated a black girl for a bit in my 20's. It was interesting. My parents never said a negative word, but I could tell that they weren't real comfortable with it. I think it had to do more with what their friends and/or other family members would think.
Her family was fairly mixed. She had a white uncle who was total hippie.
My friends thought it was awesome because she looked like Janet Jackson. lol
We used to get the occasional "look" (especially from older folks). She had to stop me from saying something a few times.
Well yes and no, Yes the players were tougher and endured more, but we already know that the players are weaker today and not very tough - that's nothing new. That's the yes part, butGotta agree with the Chuckster on this one. Guys like Wilt Chamberlain had to cram his 7'1" 285 lb. frame into a commercial seat and play back to back to back games. I bet it was worth it to knock his ass outSpent the weekend in jail once when I was at a bar shortly after my divorce. Flashed a pic of the baby to the girl and some stupid Bubba walked by and looked at it....."Oh, a niglet." I was up and off the bar stool and cleaned his clock before the cops showed up and took me away.
Not a fun weekend at all.
The problem is that there is greater risk in injury from fatigued players. I love what they are doing. It really was long over-dueYeah, nothing wrong with playing back to backs. I too agree with Barkley here.
I disagree. Folks who post here regularly have the right to not have the board fucked up by someone dragging up years old threads because they are having a tantrum. They also have the right to not be called names, subjected to 5000 word posts, have someone constantly looking to pick fights and having threads completely derailed because one person can't control their own emotions.
As for his banning, we'll see what happens. He's not out of the woods just yet.

Sorry that it hurts your feelings Chuckles, but I have learned a few things working out in the gym. One of those is that if you have had a serious work out, it takes two days for your muscles to rest and recover, so while you are ignorantly calling them vulgar names, the medical field and professional trainers across the nation disagree with your ignorant conclusion and says that your should not be straining and exercising the same muscles the next day. Perhaps they are young and can do it, but that doesn't mean it's a healthy choice and the numerous injuries speaks for themselves, but personally I would rather see to teams rested and playing their A game then their D minus games. I'm not talking about much time - just put an end to the back to back games - it's insane and ludicrous to play til 9 p.m, then have to fly to Denver to play the Nuggets the next night without even a decent night's rest. I have no problem with the Lakers playing the Kings on a night and the Warriors the next when they are close by - STFU AND GTFU yourselfFatigue?!?
Most these guys are in their early 20s, not their 50s.
They get given ice baths, massages and the best personal care an athlete could wish for before and after games. Then they travel back to their five-star hotels where they can spend the rest of the evening playing Xbox and ordering room service.
Much like you, TLF, the league is full of pussies with bullshit excuses when they play bad.
Fatigue. GTFO!

Where is the sign up for the new PICKEM?
Is there something I am missing. You asked a bunch of people to join, but I cannot find it.
