We had let it go but to be honest PG coming to town helps I think. You guys don't have to agree but it was the way KD went about what he did that pissed people off. It was his right though. I do think the look on his face at the ESPYs said something though, he knows what he did and it will always be talked about. It means what it means to everyone in their own way. Personally I just don't think his title means as much as it should to the guys that were already there and had already won one without him. And that's my right, I'm not alone.
So, 16 years?

Got it.

Pretty sure that's not going to be possible. NBA at the moment requires a kid to be one year out of high school before going pro.
Unless they go the Thon Maker route.

He had enough credits to graduate his Jr. Year.

So, the NBA considered his Sr. year as College Prep.

That was a weird situation that probably wont work again.

Gotta think they closed that loop hole.

If he goes to college this year, then next year he would be 1 year out of high school.
I guess it would come down to if he could graduate high school this summer.

Yep.

Maker opened another potential avenue on Thursday when the NBA ruled him eligible for this June's draft, a league spokesman confirmed to Yahoo Sports. Maker, 19, completed the requisite coursework to graduate from high school last spring, spent a post-graduate year in prep school and declared for the draft two weeks ago.

From the context, it sounds like he's wanting to just drop out of high school and go into the NBA.

It feels like Rondo has played for half the league since he got ripped to shreds in Dallas.

More like a permanent asterisk, at least for the 1 he has so far. He has a lot of career left though.
All joking aside, outside of Lebron, Freak, Kawhi....

You really couldn't ask for a better replacement in George.

I'm sure that soothes the burn a little.

Good luck this Season.

:suds:

You guys will have to fight it out with Minny for that top 4 seed.

The 4 is likely but anything from 2-5 would not surprise me. That's why they play the games.

I'm just glad that the Lakers aren't one of those many.

However, in a somewhat related note, I'm not a fan of the way the Lakers have handled renouncing players recently. They renounced Nwaba to sign KCP, only to lose him via waivers to the Bulls (they had intentions to re-sign him). Then they go ahead and waive the other 3 cap holds a week later anyway (Ennis, World Peace, Robinson). If they had done so in a different order, they could have retained Nwaba.

Is it just me or is Peyton Manning not funny? He seemed very awkward as a host.

He's funny, but the clips I saw of the Espys (didn't watch it), people are vastly overreacting to his material. It wasn't all that funny. His stints on SNL were great though.

So all these big moves going on around the league and Cleveland has done nothing but sign Jose Calderon. LOL.

I think I have figured out Gilbert's long term plan. He knows Cleveland can't beat Golden State, so instead of trying to make his own team better, he is letting the West get stronger and stronger in hopes that someone else can do their dirty work.

I was hoping they'd keep Ennis and Robinson....
