He could become a very efficient 3-and-D player for L.A.
That would be nice to see. Either way on a 1 year deal, it's no risk, potential high reward.

It's his whole body of work at this point... guy has never been a consistent shooter. Ever. And he's entering his 5th NBA season.Agreed. I'm just surprised that I'm finally saying something positive about a Lakers move and I end up in a disagreement with a Lakers fan over whether the guy can shoot or not. Everyone was projecting KCP to get a huge deal 6 months ago because he was on fire from 3-point range and had been good defensively.
I don't know what happened but his numbers dropped off. He shot 37.2% before the All-Star break and only 30.6% afterward. Either way, that doesn't say "can't shoot" to me. With some work, there's no reason to think he can't become a consistent 35-40% 3-point shooter.

Wonder where Anderson would go. He's the tricky part of the deal I'm sure.
Yea he's a nice piece for a good team, but I don't think he makes any bad team exponentially better.
But really, Ryan Anderson would maybe take them out of contention for the #1 pick but I doubt moves them much further than 3rd or so.
This....all of this.Nah, it's a beautiful morning because we have a competent front office that won't make crazy decisions. I.E Pope is a decent enough player, we got him on a 1 year, and we're pretty much set up for what should be a good player development year. Sure beats waking up to seeing my team sign Mozgov for 4 years, 72 mil...
Spurs would be a decent landing place if he didn't have years left on his deal.Yea he's a nice piece for a good team, but I don't think he makes any bad team exponentially better.
I think, if I'm going with a pie in the sky type optimism, he could go the Derozan route. He can score some but shooting isn't his strength.

Honestly, They should send his ass back where they got him from....
NOLA.
I'd rather take Anderson back than Reggie Jackson.
I don't see how they think Reggie and Jrue can play together.
I'm not so sure getting Pope is worth singing a song over... maybe a head nod.
I love it for everyone except Eric Gordon...lol
Whatcha think of this? Lol
Let's not count our chickens...
I am still the only one drinking the Cow Bell Kool Aid.I don't know but still think they'll be better than the following teams at least:
Brooklyn
Phoenix
Sacramento
Orlando
Chicago
Then there is also a chance they're better than a team like Dallas or the Knicks (especially if they trade Melo)
