Yes, without a doubt those two things are true

But, you can see what his asinine dad did for him just a little bit.

Every player from the superstar to the 13th man is going to do everything humanly possible to outplay him.
Nobody is ever going to take a play off. The Lakers wont get teams mailing it in during a back-to-back.

He is never going to get a half-assed effort. And that is going to definitely slow down development.
Every D-league wannabe is going to hardfoul, handcheck, and try to make Sportscenter by harassing Ball.
