i don't remember there being AO coverage on any network besides ESPN/TTC since 2000 at least.

Same here. NBC used tocover the French and Wimbledon. CBS/USA did the US Open while ESPN used to do all the majors except the US Open but the difference now is that all of Wimbledon and the US Open is on ESPN from first ball to last. NBC is only involved in the French Open

goffin has always been scrappy with great timing and smart choices at the baseline. a little like davydenko, but with a huge long loop on his FH.

but he looks like he's been hitting the gym really hard this off-season. looking less like a stiff wind might blow him over.

i'm a fan.

i've wanted to see dimitrov realize his potential for a long time, so i'm happy with either of these guys winning.

yeah, serena played pretty well other than the hiccup at the beginning of the 2nd set, and really took advantage of how slow konta is. but really, i think the biggest thing is that serena's really starting to hit her strive with her 1st serve. it hasn't been all that great since wimbledon.

it'll be tough, but I plan to not find out any scores when i wake up tomorrow, and watch nadal/raonic when i get home.

this is their first time meeting at a major, so their first best of 5 match.

i suspect rafa will win it in 3 or 4. raonic has put in a ton of work, but he's still not a great mover, and his backhand is vulnerable, especially against a lefty. if rafa is playing well and comes out with the right plan, he can run raonic to death.

i'd love to find out that raonic was able to run around forehands a lot, and end rallies quickly by nailing big shots close to lines. that's his best hope, imo.

Tennis in America had its heyday. When it ran out of steam in the mid 2000s, Aussie Open wanted to make sure to satisfy the European fans, where the real tennis money is, by making the Finals start times more palatable for them.

I am really surprised that these matches are only going 3 sets. I know Zverev upset Murray, but you would think he would have more left in his tank to try to take down Feds. Raonic should have at least gotten a set. Amazing how easily the old heads are rolling though.

I might have to stay up and watch Coco and Venus tonight.

I expected Fed to roll in straight sets but it was very shocking to see other men quarter finals end in straight sets. Tournaments like this have me thinking Raonic would never win a grand slam. You're not going to get a better opportunity than this for the rest of year or probably next season

Stan is my boy but I don't like his chances. Roger own him. 18-3 vs Stan and 5-2 vs Stan since Wawrinka won his first GS in 2014. Also all of Stan wins vs Fed came on Clay. I'll be pretty surprised if he beats Roger tomorrow.

BTW it is very good to see the Bryan bros in the semi finals. Hopefully they can win it

Because common sense would dictate that they would try to make it so that if two guys play each other, they have the same amount of rest. It's pretty stupid that they aren't both tomorrow.

Yep ridiculous that the winner of these guys tonight would have a huge advantage. I don't care when you play the semifinals but both should be played on the same day. I never had an issue with the US Open semis being on Saturday (before they made the schedule changes) even with the finals the following day because there was no advantage as both matches were played on the same day.
