Not really news. They have said all along that if they were unable to land any max FA's, they'd continue developing the kids and look at 2019.

PG is claiming to be content so far in OKC, Boogie blew up his Achilles, Love is hurt again and Lebron ain't coming to LA by himself.

If OKC loses in the first round or gets embarrassed in the 2nd round, PG may change his mind which may open up the possibility of landing him and Lebron. Outside of that, with guys dropping like flies, it's smart to start looking at 2019. This FA class is running out of difference makers.

Seems like a mere leak from the Lakers to me...but I gotta admit, and not to say that we're any kind of front runners to get him...but I've become a bit hesitant on chasing after Lebron. I mean if the opportunity presents itself with Lebron/George, I guess you gotta do it...but overall, I'm fine with whatever they do, just so long as they don't something stupid like Mozgov/Deng

Thompson or Butler would be ideal fits with the current roster. Add in a center from 2019 (UFA Dedmon, RFAs KAT, Turner, WCS) and this team is on track.

It's a leak from the Lakers, probably to slow the weak offers they're likely getting for Randle and Clarkson, since teams may be thinking the Lakers are dead set on just dumping the salary at all costs.
