Stop it, because my dislike for LBJ has ZERO effect on how he plays the game nor does it affect ANY of the outcomes.

Are you trying to convince someone that he PLAYS defense? He certainly doesn't do it on any kind of regular basis...and thus is part of why his team is ranked at the BOTTOM of the league in defensive rating. So, if he's glorified for being able to carry them offensively in wins why isn't he expected to at least participate on defense?

To be fair, he's what? 33 now? In his younger days, he could carry his team offensively and shut down the opponents best player. At 33, he can't do that any more. At least not all game long.

Because he no longer can do both all game long, he has to pick the end of the court where he can have the greater influence and that's the offensive end. Defensively, he has to pick and choose his spots.

We saw Kobe go through the same thing when he started getting old.

Christian Laettner is underrated as hell.

Dude averaged 18 ppg and 9 rpb on 48% shooting for his first years. If it weren't for him being bounced around on shitty teams, he could have been a multiple time as instead of a 1x as.

So shut the hell up, is my point.

An article I just ran across. Ranking all 12 members of the '92 Dream Team.

12. Christian Laettner (he's ranked too damn high)
11. Chris Mullin
10. Clyde Drexler
9. Patrick Ewing
8. David Robinson
7. Scottie Pippen
6. John Stockton
5. Charles Barkley
4. Karl Malone
3. Larry
2. Magic
1. Michael
Ok....it's right.

I initially thought about arguing Pippen and Barkley because of defense.

Yeah, it was a total slaughter in Rings * 6 to 0* and All defensive Teams * 10 to 0 *.

But, until Houston, Barkley was the Alpha for most of his career and Scottie was a very good beta.

So, Chuck had the better numbers and I'd put him ahead.

Charles Barkley vs. Scottie Pippen Comparison

For their careers?

Yeah....I have to think about this.

But, agree...Laettener way to high.

The guy who cleaned the puke out of the bathroom toilet on the team plane should be ranked higher than him.

Laettner got the nod only because of his outstanding college career. I think everyone back in '92 when the Dream Team was announced thought Shaq should have gotten the last roster spot.

Dennis Rodman will be best known for wearing a wedding dress and buddying up to fat boy across the pond.

No one cares about Dennis the menace, and I speak for everyone when I say this.

Dwight has a 30/30 game and gets benched?

ETA: Ha...He got suspended for techs.....lol
Of course he dominates the game I want the Hornets to lose and sits in a game I don't really care about.

The Magic are such a train wreck. Feels like they're in a similar position as the Kings.

Shit team who been winning mid 20's-low 30's for quite a while even with several lottery picks

If that's a ranking of their careers it's fine. If it's a ranking of how good they were in 1992, Larry is about #11 and Magic #6

Gonna watch a bit of this Orlando game to see your boy Hezonja.

When did he move to the starting line-up?
I know Fournier got hurt a while back, so maybe he took his spot in the lineup. I'm not crazy about signing him but if they somehow jumped to #1 and got Ayton it would be easier to accept getting super Mario to fit the SF spot. Depends on the price also, they have Justin Jackson who can be a solid backup wing so if they sign Mario it should be to start.

I agree. My guess is ranking their total careers.

Dennis Rodman > Dan Marino

Dennis Rodman > Deion Sanders

Dennis Rodman > D. Wade

The Griz trying to make your Ayton/Doncic/Porter dreams a bit tougher.

14 first quarter points...lol

Their main lottery picks since 2013
2013: Oladipo(solid player but didn't take off until after being traded)
2014: Aaron Gordon
Dario Saric(traded for Elfrid Payton who they just traded for a 2nd round pick)
2015: Super Mario
2016: Sabonis(traded with Oladipo)
2017: Isaac
Might not be Kings quality bad because all the drafted players are still in the NBA, but still a rough stretch without even looking at guys drafted after.

If they had kept those picks, they'd be looking at a pretty talented team. Might be a borderline playoff team.

PG: ?
SG: Oladipo
SF: Gordon
PF: Saric
C: Sabonis

Not bad.

I'd rather the Grizz get the #1 pick over PHX and they're out of the Kings reach, not worried about them unless they are facing another bottom 9 team. Would be great if they could beat the Kings.
