why is there dick guzzling?
That is generally due to dick guzzlers being around.
Julius Randle is so freaking good. Lakers would be stupid to let him walk this summer
He's not as good as Lebron.
True but problem is Lebron usually take up to a week to make a decision. Randle may not wait that long if another team is throwing money at him.
Next thing you know you lose out on both
Wise choice, Sir.
Yeah, I'm hoping, but not holding my breath, that Lebron will decide a little quicker than usual.
The Lakers don't have to decide on Randle right away. They do have some time (I forget how much) from the time he accepts another teams offer to when they have to decide whether to match or not.
He can come to terms on July 1.
But, the clock doesn't start until the 6th
So, they have til the 8th to match.
Saw something yesterday, which I will try to find for you, that suggests his market is 12 to 14 mil.
Uh....I'd pay that.
Yeah, I was pretty surprised by that number too.Wow. $12-14 mil? I'd have thought more.
They may be able to clear the space to get 2 max guys and still keep Randle. That would be awesome if they could.
At the least, they could sign 1 max guy, keep Randle and may be be able to go after a 2nd max guy in 2019.
With all the big money contracts players have gotten, 4/54 seems low. I wouldn't hate the Kings offering that if they draft a wing but I bet the Lakers would match.@trojanfan12
The Lakers have up until June 30 to extend Randle a qualifying offer valued at $5.5 million. That will make him a restricted free agent with a cap hold of $12.4 million. And starting on July 1, a team can extend Randle an offer sheet. If Randle can find a suitor early, before James and George make up their minds, he can put some pressure on the Lakers, who have a two-day clock to match a deal when the NBA's annual player-movement moratorium ends on July 6.
ESPN's Bobby Marks estimates Randle's market to be around $12-14 million per year, and a team such as Dallas, Brooklyn, Atlanta or Sacramento could have the ability to offer Randle something in the neighborhood of $56 million over four years.
