Sixers played about 6 minutes of quality defense against the Knicks.
Thankfully, it was enough....

Interesting game notes : Sixers were down 8 going into the 4th quarter. NYK put out Damyean Dotson, who hadn't played a single minute in the game. Dotson proceeds to hit a 3 and get an assist and is pulled a few minutes later.

Trey Burke was +12 in 25 minutes off the bench on 7-11 shooting. Played 4.5 minutes in the 4th quarter before being replaced by Mudiay, who was a -13 and shot 5-12.

NYK have now lost 9 in a row and have jumped CHI for the 8th spot on Tankathon.

Now I'm not saying there's tanking going on in the NBA.... but there's tanking going on in the NBA......

Unless I'm reading this wrong, the Warriors are only favored by 1 point when the SacKings T-82 tank rolls into Oakland tonight. Draymond and David West are supposedly available again too. Seems like easy money @DJ. Thoughts @Bolts ?

Lmfao @ the Suns.

The Season just keeps getting sadder.

I think the NBA has a gender bias against man buns or something.

Stop assaulting Ricky Rubio!!!!

If they don't trade any of their 1st/2nd/3rd year players and keep both picks that'll be 10 guys on rookie contracts, that's a lot of young assets already. Some have more value than others and some(Fox, Bogdan, Giles) I'd rather they not trade. If they are gonna make that kinda trade, the player the Kings get should be an all star with at least 2 years left on his contract. No thanks for rentals who would most likely leave the following year and push them further back. I'd probably prefer the Kings just go through the draft, their PG/SG situation already looks pretty good and they have some solid role players in Skal, Justin Jackson, and WCS. Another thing they could do is go after a young/talented FA to go with their core group like they did with Otto Porter last year(maybe Aaron Gordon this year). What's most important is they focus on the rebuild and don't waste away current/future assets for a failed 8th seed playoff push, it didn't work years ago and it won't work now.

I agree. That is a lot of youth. But that's also a lot of valuable assets. They're in a position similar to what the Celtics had/have. Lots of picks and young guys.

Imo, the Kings should look at who, if anyone, they have that are not going to be available for trade and start looking at possible trade partners.

I agree that just making trades to become an 8th seed would be a bad idea. Either try to trade players and picks for a star who, as you say, is young and has at least 2 years left on his deal, or keep working with the young guys and hope they can develop into a contender ala OKC and the Warriors.

Dwyane Wade has most certainly passed Kobe on the greatest SG of all time list, think this needs to be talked about more often.
