IT isn't getting a max deal from anyone. The closest he might come to that is if the Lakers strike out in FA and decide he has done well enough over the last 20+ games that they are willing to pay him more on a 1 year deal so he can try to get back some of the money he's lost.

While I agree that he's not a max guy, I'm also not willing to write him off yet either. He's been back for a total of 17 games and on AccessSportsnet last night, they were saying that he's rusty and only at about 80% right now. He's also only played 3 games with the Lakers, so he is also getting used to a new team and new system.

He's shown flashes of being able to do what he did in Boston, but isn't to the point of being able to do it consistently yet.

Good luck with that. He's been saying he's "not done yet" since the last time the Heat had to shut him down what? 3 years ago?

Unless he can get some doctor (probably a team doctor) to certify that he's 100% over his blood clotting issues, I don't see anyone being willing to risk having him die on the court.

It's too bad because if he were healthy, there are several teams that he could help. I'd bet the Spurs might be first in line.

Pretty much every doctor out there has said his illness is a career ender. The only one saying it's not, is Bosh.

The whole concept of IT as a max contract candidate turned him into a hot potato. Nobody is going to consider him as such.

They had a lead in the 4th despite little scoring from Kuzma and IT (and the team went 1-13 from 3 in the second half). The Ingram experiment at PG works against some teams, but they should work Caruso in more (he is limited by his 2 way contract though). At least Lonzo will be back for the next game.

That's not the least bit surprising to me. Aldridge has been incredible this year but just isn't a big name anymore, though he deserves to be. The Spurs wouldn't even have 25 to 30 wins without him this year.
