Yeah, it's weird how much less I hate y'all now...lol

Lakers are off limits too.

They are in the same boat as my Clippers, Detroit and the Jazz.

They won't go far this Season. But, they can still spoil it for other teams.

Off topic....

Did you read Shelburne's new story?

LaVar vs. the Lakers -- but where does Lonzo end up?

Good article. Looks like the Lakers may be figuring out how to handle Lavar's nonsense.

Gotta feel for Lonzo. He keeps getting stuck looking like he has to choose between his Dad and his team.

Things seem to have quieted down, despite his latest comments (it had been about a month since he'd said anything). Hopefully, that means Lonzo won't eventually be forced to choose for real.

I really like Ramona.

She's fair.

But, tells it like it is.

I kinda agree to what she alluded to in the article when she said Lavar was quiet until the BBB report came out. All of a sudden, he started flaming Luke again.

Deflection much? Classic Red Herring strategy by Lavar.

Only thing of concern that I read was about the House.

Dude bought a 5m house in his Son's name?

I'm hoping Lonzo is just being coy when he said he didn't know who bought it.

Like she pointed out in the article, he's only 19 and is skirting the line as best he can.

Ps. I'm not being snobbish.

I'm a California girl who lived many happy years in the Inland Empire.

But, who buys a 5mil dollar house in Chino Hills?

* Snoop*

Alta Loma, Rancho, Temecula, Upland, Riverside...even Palm Springs....yeah.

But, Chino smells like cow shit 24/7.

For 5 mil, I'm going to Yorba Linda, Hidden Hills, Calabasas.

Guard Gated...lol

Yeah, I like her. She's been really good as the "Lakers insider."

I thought the same thing about the timing of his Luke comments. "Hey Lavar, the BBB says your company sucks."

"Yeah? Have you seen how bad Luke sucks as a coach?"

That's not obvious at all. lol

I thought that house thing seemed kind of weird too. Not sure what to think about that. On the one hand, players buy their parents houses all the time. It's one of the first things a lot of these guys do when they get their first NBA contract.

But those players parents also don't have the means that Lavar seems to.

Lonzo seems like he just wants to play basketball and not be bothered by all of the other nonsense. Probably wishes his Dad would just shut up or the media would quit sticking microphones in his face.

His comment (I forget the exact words) that was along the lines of "that's just how it's always been" seem to show that he's just used to it and really doesn't pay a whole lot of attention to it unless he's forced too.

Yup.

At first, I was kinda irritated by the Lakers lack of response.

Now I see that at least part of that was out of concern for Lonzo.

It's pretty obvious how loyal he is to his family.

He's 19. So, asking him to choose is not a wise or necessary decision right now.

Lavar has no control or power over when/if Lonzo leaves the Lakers for the next 4-5 years.

Both shouldn’t have been ejected. Rondo should have been T’d up but you know the refs always have to give double T’s. Geez the NBA is so soft lol.

You'd have to watch it from a few minutes before the clip also. The 10 second clip doesn't show it. I think the ref thought that if he didn't throw them out -- it would explode again later.

The problem is that Rondo was the aggressor the entire time. One of the elbows to the face (I think it was the first one) happened with the ref standing 5 feet away. If the refs had put a stop to it then, they may not have had to eject anyone.

Rondo elbowed him in the head/neck area 3 times before IT finally responded. Not sure what more he was supposed to do.

Tell the truth!
Lonzo is healthy and holding out until the Lakers commit to his brothers....

I'll show myself out.

Legit chance the Spurs miss the playoffs if they don't get healthy quickly. Still have OKC, GSW and HOU all twice remaining on the schedule, plus new-look Cavs at Cleveland after the AS Break, @ Denver again, have to face Utah one more time...it's not looking good if they don't get some guys back soon.

Oh shit. It's a zombie Raptors fan back from the dead! I remember you back when this board's NBA section was just the Raptors fans, a couple of Warriors fans, and myself. What a shame that Hammer banned you guys in a hissy fit right as your team was getting good.
trying to get my old account reactivated so I can try and drag the Raptors fans back.

I've been through Chino Hills. It's a shit hole.

With that being said, it's a hell of a house.

Still, who the fuck buys a 14,000 foot FIXER UPPER in Chino?

For 5 million, I'm not fixing Shit.

I also find it funny that he still lives with them.

lakers-rookie-lonzo-ball-lives-up-to-the-big-baller-hype-with-purchase-of-5-2m-mansion-in-chino-hills4.jpg

A limited liability company that lists Lakers rookie Lonzo Ball as its managing member has purchased a three-story mansion in Chino Hills for $5.2 million.

The custom-built, villa-style house was described as "fallen into some disrepair" and "needs a little TLC" when it listed for sale in August, according to the listing.

Built in 2005, the home has 13,800 square feet of interior space that includes a formal entry, game and media rooms, a chef's kitchen, a gym, eight bedrooms and 8.75 bathrooms. There are front and rear staircases as well as a wood-paneled elevator.

The gated estate sits on more than 3 acres of grounds with a fenced swimming pool and a separate, 1,200-square-foot guesthouse.

"I had to get behind the gate," Ball said in the video, referring to the public interest in his family. "It got too crazy. Knocking on the door, jumping over fences, now you gotta get through the gate and you gotta get through my gate."
