Watched a fair amount of the Celtics game.

Gotta say that team is going to really struggle with big teams. They were shooting 70% for most of the 4th and still couldn't get a lead. Their D looked surprisingly suspect as well.
Cleaning up the defensive glass is definitely still the top weakness of this C's team.

A fully healthy Jaylen Brown is actually the best remedy here as the C's are currently constituted. They need his super-athleticism to be the best they can be. Boston has actually held their own, at times, on the boards this season with a 'committee of longish athletes' approach.

No Idea?

He and Blake suffer from an acute case of Sloreitis.

slore
noun
  • a promiscuous person. From "slut" + "whore".

Infection is visible to the naked eye.

Good thing you put that spoiler in there, I had no idea what a slore was.

Dallas defeated Toronto tonight.

Bulls up 4 in Milwaukee early in the 4th. Looking for their 2nd win in Milwaukee in the last 10 days or so

Brown certainly is important to improving the defense.

But length can't overcome size completely.

I'll say it again....The NBA is booming

ESPN and ABC’s NBA Christmas coverage averaged a 3.9 metered market rating across its four games, up 39 percent compared to a 2.8 for its five-game schedule last year, based on metered market ratings from Nielsen.

Highlights:

  • The Philadelphia 76ers 105-98 win over the New York Knicks averaged a 2.4 metered market rating, matching last year as ESPN’s best 12 p.m. ET (noon) Christmas window since 2012;
  • The NBA Finals rematch, in which the Golden State Warriors defeated the Cleveland Cavaliers 99-92, delivered a 5.5 metered market rating, matching the fifth-highest rated early ABC window ever on Christmas;
  • The Washington Wizards 111-103 victory over the Boston Celtics generated a 3.7 metered market rating, up nine percent from last year’s comparable game – the Chicago Bulls vs. the San Antonio Spurs, which drew a 3.4;
  • The Oklahoma City Thunder’s 112-107 victory over the Houston Rockets on ABC drew a 4.1 metered market rating, making it the highest-rated prime-time NBA Christmas broadcast since 2003.

Being outscored by almost 20 in a quarter against the injured Clippers is not ideal if you wanna win but great if you wanna tank.
