Huh, I didn't know this about Mormons.

For clarity's sake - if anyone cares - it was a ban on blacks receiving priesthood. It wasn't that way in the beginning, it started as an unspoken rule under Brigham Young and grew into a tradition that was strictly followed.

Took the church WAY too long to stop the racist practice (late 1970's). IMO, there's definitely still veins of racism among members of the church today as a direct result of it.

Not many expected the Lakers to be better than the Clippers going into the season, but given how badly things have started for the Clippers... pretty disappointing for the Lakers to be behind them in the standings.

As an unbiased Boston fan I can say there's nothing disappointing about the Lakers season so far.

Is Curry playing tonight?

Curry and Durant upgraded to probable. David West is out so look for Jordan Bell to get more run immediately tonight.

I'm mildly surprised by the Lakers record.

I thought they'd be lucky to win 30 games.

I thought KCP was not going to play well with the increased responsibility.

I thought Brook Lopez would give them 20 and 5.

I'm 0-3...

Or, I will be.

Well I thought Kyrie would come to his senses & figure out the Earth is flat. I was wrong.

Yes, thank you for the clarification.

I thought it was the Priesthood.

But, wasn't totally sure.

The thin veils of racism exist in every race, creed, culture and religion and change doesn't happen overnight.

But, people like you will make it better a little bit at a time.

That's all you and I can do is try to be better.

I don't know what he said.

But, according to those in the know, the toss was warranted.

Seemed quick to me at the time.
My only point is that these guys are only human. They at some point will lose their cool too. I have heard people saying that he should be given some kind of pass because he's LBJ. So, why is that the case for him & not any other star in the league?

He gets fouled a lot and he expects the superstar calls.

To me, a foul is a foul and should be called despite how much bigger he is than everyone else.

At the same time, he is a load.

Stop expecting the refs to bail you out.

Slippery slope. But, he didn't throw anything at anyone....AGAIN.

Apples and Oranges to the Curry thing..imo

More inline with what Draymond and Boogie do.

But, both Curry and LeBron deserved to be be booted.

When the Clippers finally come to their senses and blows it up, there are a few great spots that our tradeable pieces could land.

Lou Williams - Thunder, Cavs, Bucks.

All 3 need a floor spacer.

Deandre Jordan - Cavs, Bucks, Celtics

He'd be the piece that decides the eventual Eastern Conference Champion.

But, won't move the needle against the Warriors without more moves.

If the Cavs got both Jordan and Lou and King of the Fourth version of Isiah?

Shit would be a bit more interesting in the Finals.

Yes, they both deserved to be thrown out, which is my only point. I wasn't comparing the reasons why they were tossed. I only brought up the Curry incident because they are both on the same level in terms of being star players & how everything they do is scrutinized - but obviously viewed differently.

Also, IMO LBJ does a lot of fouling himself - for which he gets SEVERAL passes - so for him to complain to this extent about a missed call is hypercritical at best.
