This big 3 is so different than James, Wade, and Bosh.

Looked good (to some) when Presti acquired PG and Melo......but they don't mesh very well......so far.

I am honestly not sure Miami's big 3 meshed that much better, they just had a much better big 3.

Took them the first 20-25 games but they eventually figured it out. Wade and James were passers and Bosh was a pretty good one for a big man. The ball movement was a lot better.

And RW and Melo aren't bad passers but they need the ball a lot more to be effective.

IMO.

That is just it.

Not sure they know how. None of them seem to have any clue how to play with other great players. All 3 know how to play with the ball, but seem to struggle without it.

They have time to figure it out, but this is exactly why nobody should blame KD for leaving. Russ had 8 years to figure it out while KD was there, and he never did.

OKC has had a bunch of close losses so they will see some positive win regression, but they aren't anywhere close to where they should be based on their talent.

They remind me of the Heat in their first season with Lebron, Wade and Bosh when they were all trying to take turns.

The difference of course, is that team had Lebron who is happy to set up his teammates, so they were able to figure it out. And even they never got to be 100% comfortable with it.

Like you, I'm not sure these 3 can do that. As far as style of play, PG is probably the most likely to be able to play the "Lebron distributor" role. But he's not alpha enough to get Westbrook and Melo to go along with it.

I think he bolts to LA after a disappointing 44-38/45-37 season.

Still not sure.

Wade and LeBron never truly complimented each other. Bosh was limited to a distant 3rd option, and he was a better player than that.

Yes, they won two titles, but their talent advantage over the field was overwhelming. As many on here tend to point out when evaluating LeBron, 2 titles was somewhat of an underachieving total for that group given when the first partnered, Wade and LeBron were arguably the best 2 players in the league and Bosh was top 10.

A trio like that coming together in the way they did was unfathomable.

Fucking Russell getting hurt is gonna kill my prediction that Nets would be drafting 6-8th.

Maybe not, if somebody else steps up with the new opportunity.

Wouldn't break my heart if that were to happen.

Add him to this promising young Laker team and I think they'd win 40-42 games....with the progressions of Ball, Kuzma, and Ingram. Add James too? They'd be a 50 win team in the WC.

We'll probably win 32-33 games this season.
