Thanks Gillis.

Because of the ntc???

He got him to sign below market for term :noidea:

The team benefited ... Now comes the downside

I dont recall the city ever being scared of what gilly was gonna do trade wise at a deadline like everyone is about what benning will end up doing

I just had to throw that comment out there because I know in the past certain GM's have been criticized for handing out NTC's like candy.

Seems like the past few years GMs have been pulling their moves earlier and earlier. I get it...but it's not quite as fun. Sure it means speculation is stretched out and maybe allows for more moves, but those days of being glued to TradeCentre waiting for that big deal that goes through at the wire seem gone. I know you can't buy big rentals every year, but I do pine for the days of slinging Shero and his fun deals (that bit the team in the ass).

Okay. Who the fuck is Kevin Fiala?

That's the rumo(u)red return for Hartsy.

Ahhhh.

Seems Eklund said it, and some TwatWaffle in training named Yost put it out and everyone followed on.

Putting my picthfork down. For now.

I'll gladly take Fiala for Parenteau. He was one of the best skaters I saw at the WJC, moved the puck really well. Even if the Leafs had to throw in say Ottawa's second rounder for next season it's totally worth it.

Bro, do you even prospect?

Fiala is good. You should be happy. And I'm sure that Fiala can smile while wearing a Columbus shirt and tying 7 year old kids' skates too.

Well, it's all BS, apparently anyway.

And no, I must admit that the deep pool of Nashville prospects is not something I am up on.

The depth isn't important because Fiala is at the top of the list anyway. He'd be at the top of Columbus's list too.

Yeah, I've read up on him. Seems excellent, and would be a great addition. Which would seem strange that Nashville would part with him for a guy most of the league thinks is past his prime.

And he'd be a better addition in the place of Bourque or Clarkson, though :)
