Pens get Schultz according to Dregs, no clue the return. I'll take it, if price is okay. Salary has to move.

Leafs donate Reimer to SJ.

I don't get this trade fro the Leafs. They got nothing. Wouldn't it be better to hold on for something better? That's a whole lot o' garbage coming back.

Maybe they think Stalock is worth a look.

Guess the market for backups is shit. Really who needed one past SJ and STL?

Still thought he was worth at least a second but it is what it is.

...someone called this.
Hi!

Forty three will be upset but pending what the return will be this should be a good move for the Jackets moving forward. Nobody is trading for Tyutin or Johnson so in terms of moving money out this was always the most likely option.

Perhaps PA Parenteau on the move? Just left the ice.

Edit - sounds medical related

I think they were feeling bad about the Polak trade and did them a favor.

First they move Reimer for table scraps, then the Leafs play their best remaining trade asset for no reason instead of scratching him like all the smart teams.

Today has been a retro Leaf day.

Are you saying that's a baaaaaaad trade pix?

Naahhhhhhh. It's pretty low risk. He's gonna be a bottom pair/depth guy. If he rebounds really well, great! They can either resign him or he gets offer sheeted and they get back what they paid. If he stinks? Oh well. I know the Pens are lacking in prospects/picks, but he's a 25 year old defenseman who can skate and move the puck. The Pens are going all out on mobile defensemen. I tend to think he'll do pretty well in a much more sheltered role. He's going from being exposed as the Oilers only defenseman of any worth to being a depth 5-6/7 guy. Considering the other options out there and their cost, I'm content. Dude just has to be better than Lovejoy or Cole, which shouldn't be tough. I have a feeling Zatkoff is gonna be moved for something on minimal value, and Plotnikov is being shopped too. Not a happy marriage there.

They had taken a dozen steps forward, so it's only right that they take like three back.

I read this and thought all of 43s dreams had come true. Nice word choice, TwatWaffle. (Apple autocorrects TwatWaffle to its formal capitalized version, btw. That's your legacy.)

I sense zero bitterness here. But really my expectations aren't too high. Gotta give some of these NCAA free agents, occasionally they get huge deals with zero NHL time.
