Probably for the best re JVR. If he came back and sucked his trade value wouldn't be much come the draft. This way they can point at his pre-injury play or have him come back next year and hope he can pick up where he left off.

Broken foot I think.

Not listening today, but that would be quite a coup for the Canucks if it were to pass (pick up a couple of draft picks/prospects and then re-sign Dan in the summer).
