That's exactly the type of RB I've been wanting the Seahawks to acquire!
He can catch when he goes out for passes, but can he block for RW ?

He supposedly is awful at pass pro. Are we seeing a pattern with lineman here? Not a fan. It would be nice to have a line that blocked well.Adam Caplan of ESPN is reporting that the Seahawks and OT Bradley Sowell have reached an agreement on a one-year contract worth $1.5 million.
Seattle has clearly been in the offensive tackle market since free agency opened last week. The question is whether this will have any impact whatsoever on their pursuit of Russell Okung, who reportedly has offers from three other teams.
Sowell is likely seen as a depth addition for them.

I just don't get it. Is Cable completely to blame here? Why does he keep targeting these types?Indeed, can you image what RW could do behind a OL that was actually good at pass blocking? Keep playing behind a leaky OL and sooner or later the odds will catch up and RW going to get hurt.
Well Pete believes in the ground game and that means having a OL the can run block. It's worked pretty well for the most part. Pete relies on Cable to help pick these OL and Cable seems to like OL that are big and with a nasty streak in them, he's also doesn't seem to be able to tell if they can be good pass blockers. Just go back and listen to him talk about guys like Britt, Carp, etc he always says they can pass block.I just don't get it. Is Cable completely to blame here? Why does he keep targeting these types?

I don't think Cable is aware that you can get guys that are good at both run blocking and pass blocking. He must not be.
It took the coaches 8-10 games before finally deciding that Nowak couldn't cut it. No more converted D lineman please!RW with an average pass blocking line would do wonders. Not sure why it's so difficult for Cable to figure this out.
Sealver Siliga to Seahawks:
The Seattle Seahawks have filled a much-needed void on their defensive line by signing nose tackle Sealver Siliga on Monday, according to Bleacher Report’s Jason Cole.
ESPN’s Josina Anderson confirmed the news and reported Siliga’s deal is for one-year and worth up to $1.4 million with $250,000 guaranteed.
Siliga shared an Instagram post of himself signing his new contract shortly after the news broke:
The former undrafted free agent has spent the past three seasons with the New England Patriots and played in a career-high 13 games last year with 28 tackles.
He was on the field for 23.2 percent of the Patriots’ defensive snaps, per Football Outsiders, second-lowest among players with more than four snaps.
He also has ties to Seattle, having competed with the team for part of its 2013 training camp, according to Sheil Kapadia of ESPN.com.
Doesn't sound like much, but in the past the Seahawks have brought in these unheralded DL and gotten some value from them.
Could mean that Seattle won't be targeting a DT to replace Mebane during the draft.

Hopefully that is only a depth signing..
