The sports talk radio I listen to here in Phoenix made a comment about this Rams trade and they were asking the same question SJ stated. That being: Why didn't the Rams do this trade last year when Winston and Marriota were the prize? Their response? A dollar short and a year late are the Rams and we the fans wonder why the Rams are the laughingstock of the NFL!!

This was an act of desperation of our GM/Coach! If they start this kid week 1, they are freaking NUTS! What blows my mind is they did absolutely nothing to help offensively. We have no more decent picks this year or next year. No improvements whatsoever! No one to throw to, inexperienced o-line(poor pass protection) Opposing defenses will simply stack the box and show multiple blitz packages to easily confuse or kill the young qb and rb! We are basically the same offense as last year only with a rookie signal caller! :L

Myles Jack knees are jacked up, a decent amount of teams took him off their board, basically he is a one contract player. His knees won't make it to the second contract.

He excels under pressure, he has great pocket awareness. And was second in the country in accuracy while under pressure, his red zone numbers are sick.

It is time to believe the hype.

Only one of his knees and it's a meniscus tear Snake Eyes, it's not like the dude has bad knees or something. Just a tough break for the kid in practice.

Oh and for any of you who didn't get to follow this kids college career, he can run the heck out of the ball too. Check out this link and you will see a short video of his game vs Arizona.

Myles Jack's knee injury pushes him out of the first round

One thing is certain, the young man had the good sense to get a $5M insurance policy if he fell out of the first round due to injury, and that he did.

It's not the meniscus tear they are worried about. They foresee microfracture surgery in his future, as the tendon is separating from the bone.

Ragland fell for similar reasons; an enlarged aorta was reported today. Not career threatening, but something that has to be checked every year.

There's no way they could've made this trade last year. The Bucs and Titans also needed their QBs of the future and were not about to give up the #1 or #2 pick without being overwhelmed. Trading up from #10 last year would've cost way more than trading up from #15 this year. Remember how much the Rams got to move from #2 to #6 for RG3? It would've been more than that to move to #10.

The Titans WANTED to trade down this year and it was known, driving the price to a level the Rams could afford. Whether or not it was the right move is another discussion.

Yea SE. I saw one guy with his back to the camera wearing a "Jack Youngblood" jersey. Apparently, the fans have missed a team and professional football in LA or so it would appear. We shall see if these fans are this gung-ho after they experience several losing seasons.

I don't believe that for a minute shopson. In the NFL draft world, anything is possible.

Sorry...but with literally no offensive improvements been made so far this offseason, its hard for me to jump on your hype train. You also point out all of these great attributes, not denying that the kid has talent. But trust me, playing on this team, he is going to need it! ......IMO he is being put into a position to fail! .....This IMO falls back on management! ...Not the rookie qb!.....In a ways this actually reminds me of the Bradford situation!

I disagree. Both were QB needy teams plus Winston and Mariotta were highly touted. It would have cost an arm and a leg compared to what we gave up.

Hey Retro, I was there standing right next to a guy wearing a Jack Youngblood jersey! Where do you see him? Is there a No. 29 standing to the right of him? If so that's me!!

I said the same thing Zeke, hype is good but for what they put on the table to get this kid he has to start from day 1. IF he has a decent rating his first year with a shitty LT and rest of the OL, no TE option, no WR option, then hell its a miracle but yeah Lambs are still stuck in the same place they always been.

Both live shots were on ESPN and NFL Network as I turned them on and flipped back and fourth last evening as they were finishing up the first round before I went to bed. On ESPN, there was a dude with a 29 on a jersey but I am not sure which side he was standing on with the guy with the Jack Youngblood jersey. If they would have slowed the live shot down and held for a couple of minutes and panned out, I probably would have ID'ed you ASAP. But they were too quick and I was just about asleep at 12:40am in the morning.
