And shooting the deep ball which is important in a Golden State type offense. He shot well under 30% last season.

It'll be interesting to see how that plays out in a different offnese with more playing time. If memory serves, he hit it pretty well in the pre-season and towards the end of the regular season when he was actually getting playing time. But he was pretty bad for much of the regular season and was buried on the bench.

pshhh...klay thompson so got what he deserved...up 3-1 talking trash to lebron about getting his feelings hurt, lol....oh karma is just too awesome.

who told him it was a good idea to trash talk the best player on the planet? lol....who would do such a thing??? why did draymond think it was a good idea to hit him in the balls? soooooo not a good idea,,,who would do such a thing?

i can see why their GM thought they had to go out and get Durant after watching Lebron with his supporting cast intact.

definitely didnt invent it- just are by far the biggest spenders in the NBA right now. This is a game, a hobby to Gilbert.

that $60 million dollar check he has to cut to the league- in his mind- is well worth it to be the owner who delivered the first title to Cleveland in 52 years.

how many yachts can you water ski behind?

Of course they are, he's trying to keep a contender together. But you act like this is something special or different. The Lakers spent far over the cap to keep their title teams together, so did the Heat. In fact, most contending teams go over the cap when they are trying to keep the team together. That's how it has worked since the cap was invented.

As for it being a "game" or "hobby" for Gilbert...what does that have to do with anything?

Wonder why Delly and Mozgov are forced to sign with new teams tomorrow?

#gilbertcouldpay
clogging up your cap for guys that didnt see the court in the nba finals is PROOOOBABLY not a good idea....

dont worry- Dan Gilbert will outspend Arison- and the rest of the league - yet again. I gotta admit...its strange having an owner of a sports team in Cleveland that is willing to outspend the competition on a level like Gilbert is doing.

Guys, guys, aren't we forgetting something? Dwight's finally coming home. Being back in his hometown is going to make him one of the best players in the league again, and him, Paul Millsap, and Schroeder will annihilate everything they see. It'll be beautiful.

I just hope Dwight's rebounding can help us win just one fucking game against the Cavs in the Playoffs.

i actually thinkt hatt he Lakers have spent more on the cap during its history than the Cavs if i am not mistaken.....the Cavs though have spent over double what the Heat have spent though- again- if i am recollecting correctly.

He was bad all season shooting the three, although he really didn't shoot that many. It looked like he could barely get it to the rim from distance! He has very good court vision and passing skills but big holes on defense and perimeter shooting.

i thought he looked pretty slick- especially in the pick and roll at times...had a good command out there....

Yeah, I was really excited about him in the pre-season. But for whatever reason, when the regular season started, he really struggled and didn't see much playing time for quite awhile. Hopefully, he worked through it and will play better this season.

So it's not a good idea for Gilbert, but 1000x you said Arison was cheap vs it being a good idea for him?

THATS why you're a clown.

And still waiting for how many times Gilbert paid tax without James on the roster answer.

still zero

Well then, hopefully he'll improve or continue to not shoot it. As a backup, I'm not overly concerned with his defense or 3 point shooting. He can be hidden in a decent scheme. His court vision and passing skills will be a great asset.
