Yeah because MJ didn't have 3 HOFers on his teams....oh wait, he did.

Wade's answer is probably... with whatever money you were ready to free up for Durant.

Another thing going under the radar...

The Heat actually renounced Wade's rights in order to sign Whiteside... without seeking Wade's blessing. They literally just tossed him and his bird rights aside hours into the season... taking for granted that he would be loyal and trusting of their plans.

Not hard to see why Wade is upset.

Yep. They were going all in on KD.

Quite a few teams got Lebron to 6 games and even 7 games.
Just pointing out he's handled the Bulls well. Celtics, Pacers, and obviously the teams he faced in the finals were tough.

And the Clippers may be done with "contending" after next year with CP3 and Blake. The super teams will change or one could get added, but it seems like there will be 3-5 actual contenders every year. Hopefully I'm wrong.

They can afford 2 years and 40 million....hell add a 3rd year and 60 million total.....the man is the face of the franchise and can still play.

Paying Wade $20 million when he'll be 38 years old is not a prudent business move. Especially when you're trying to win.

Black (and Clarkson before Deng). Some sites are claiming $21M in space, but they aren't accounting for Ingram's cap hold.

Hmmmm.....I want to see Mitch sign another player.....maybe a 2nd tier SG to backup Clarkson. I was hoping Gerald Henderson before he signed.

I think she'd even admit that the odds the Clippers win the West are VERY slim. I think I'd rather them make the finals over GSW at this point.

The reality of this market is that compared to some of the other contracts handed out, Wade will still be more productive at 38 making 20M a year, than some of the guys right now who got larger, or similar sized contracts.

Probably. But you know you won't win a title with Wade making $20 million when he's 38 years old, and that's probably the Heat's mindset on the whole matter.

Maybe Bosh announces retirement, which could be why Wade is looking into other teams.

So this should be an interesting evening.

I hope he retires. Every time his name is mentioned I now think of Hank Gathers. He's got nothing left to prove, enjoy retirement & wait for the call to the Hall.

Wade's looking into other teams for more money. I don't think Bosh's decisions affects anything that Wade's going to do.

I agree. The Heat have already said that they'll pay out the remainder of his contract. He's done everything in his career and has $75 million left to him. Not worth the risk.

Do you think the Heat will someday retire his #?

I wouldn't commit anymore long term money to any free agents. They must keep cap space available next summer for a max contract.
