Mecca's good. She was pitching Deng to the Lakers before anybdy else was.

Like him as an option better than Parsons or Bazemore. Solid move IMO. Lakers still with about $20M to spend (or up to $10M more if they sign Clarkson last and want to go over the cap).

Memphis signed 2 good players to 237 mill but it's not going to result in a title or even a WCF berth. They'll likely make the playoffs and get bumped out in the 1st round, maybe make it to the 2nd.

That's my exact point.
2 good players aren't beating 2 superstars.

The system in totally flawed in Conuley gets paid the same money LeBron does.

And as far as Cuban, and other teams missing out on who they really wanted..
They're better off waiting and filling the roster with 1 year deals then overpaying players for
multi years and killing future cap space.

I think Mozgoc is a solid C. It's not a great move but it's not as bad as some are saying either. He'll mentor Zubac and he can play. I expect 12 and 9, at least with a few bpg.
DJ I will give you 5-1 odds that Mozgov does not reach 12 OR 9.

You put up 2k in vcash....ill put up 10k.....if Mozgov averages 12 OR 9 next year you win and get all 10k....if he does neither- i get your vcash...

deal?

They already signed Clarkson. 4 years/$50 million.

Yeah, I think an average of 12 and 9 might be a bit much. If he can just be in the neighborhood of his career averages and do a good job helping with the youngsters, I'll have no complaints.

Hold up, you're ripping on the Lakers when the Cavs are paying how much to Thompson again?!?

Well that is looking pretty good right now. You just gave $16 mil to a guy who only played one good season in his career and is 30 years old. I think he can be productive but comparing Moz to TT is not comparable, especially since TT is so young amd hasnt missed a game in his career.

12 and 9 for Mozzy? lol
yah...dont get me wrong... i think Timo brings some nice attributes to the table- but typically guys dont have career years and destroy their previous career highs at the age of 30....not surprising from DJ though....he thought Ryan Kelly was the next Kevin Love great big man shooter in the league, lol.

Thompson and Mozgov have almost IDENTICAL years and cash remaining on their deals.

Tristan Thompson is 25 coming off 2 straight Finals where he averaged a double double and the Cavs would NOT have won that title without him.

Come on basketball gods, let me have this.
thats a great move for either the Wiz or the Celtics - whoever gets him...should be interesting.

Honestly--- Wall and Beale are better than anything the Celtics have---- but ill give the Celtics the edge when it comes to coach/ownership......both teams would be a great fit for Horford....hes such a good player, and such a good vet...hes gonna help either team really win games next year. If Boston or Washington gets him- i predict that team gets out of the first round at the least.

He missed 6 games his rookie year.
