I would imagine that Turner will get every opportunity to start if he has a good showing in training camp. I think Jefferson at this stage of his career would be much more effective in backup minutes anyways.

Dumb to compare the contracts of Jefferson and Mozgov without considering Jefferson likely wanting to play for a potentially contending team. I don't think he takes a lesser salary to play for a rebuilding team.

At 10 million, Al Might be a bench player...if not out the gate, by mid season.

Well, just now hearing that the 4th year on the Mozgov deal has a team opt out, so that makes it a tad better....3 years is still alot however

Unfortunately if he's doing hard drugs, he probably hasn't invested wisely.

The NBA isn't kicking a guy out of the NBA for weed. It has to be some legit narcotic in order for him to receive an expulsion. I know I made a joke earlier, but always unfortunate situation when it comes to drugs.

Weed is banned as well.

Mozgov could back him up or be traded as an expiring contract. Like Hibbert was.

Rumor is the 3rd and 4th years are team options, so the contract is a little easier to take.

If I'm perfectly honest, I think his numbers will improve with playing time, not because he's all of a sudden gonna develop a post game.

He will never be a scorer outside of putbacks.

Sushi's Ben Wallace comparison as his ceiling seems spot on.

Weed is banned as well.

It's banned, but taken much lighter. JR Smith was suspended 5 games in 2013 for testing positive for weed. You only get suspended for weed if you test positive 3 times as well.

Based on that scale you can tell the difference between a weed violation versus a narcotics violation.

Wallace was a better defender IMO. Biyombo is a rebounder/shot-blocker, not a pure defender.
