Wade isnt leaving. I seriously doubt Riley has made him an afterthought, but Wade has to understand that Riley is trying to build a team to help Wade win another title. He is older now, Riley has to spend what he can to get younger talent around him. But the Heat always do right by Wade and will do right by him even after he retires. He just is using this as leverage right now.

Not fond of the money or length of the deal, but the player is a good fit for what they were looking for.

Are you seriously comparing Biyombo to Jordan? Jordan is 6'11 and has started for the past 6 years.

Jordan's a good defender and and rebounder. Same description as Biyombo. Biyombo is 2 inches shorter. It's a bad deal. But I guess we'll see when the season starts.

Wade has taken multiple pay cuts his entire career and the year the cap boom starts, asking him to take another cut wouldn't be a sign of good faith, IMO.

He has to at least consider alternative plans, just if anything to put the fear of god into the Heat to retain him.

D-Wade leaving?

I thought it was like 95-5 staying....but it seems like more 60-40 at this point.

They have basically made him a secondary afterthought the last 3 seasons of free agency.

They are just assuming they can always count on his loyalty.

Very dangerous with other teams having cap space finally.

You think he's going to Milwaukee? I'll do a week AVI bet saying otherwise.

The Heat are trying to build a title contender, Wade's seeing leverage.

Biyombo is 23 and he looked decent against the Heat and Cavs in the Finals. He has a chance to grow, with Mozgov, you already know what you're getting.

Biyombo has been in the league 5 years, Mozgov 6. They both are what they are essentially.

His shot blocking ability, hustle and rebounding could be similar.

If he stops fouling.

Deadre has played 8 Seasons.

He didn't get here over night.

I doubt the Heat are asking Wade to take a pay cut at this juncture. I think they're evaluating the roster and where they stand with Durant before anything. I honestly see a 3-4 year contract coming out of this.

I'm hearing Miami is growing increasingly optimistic about their chances of landing Durant.

Must be weird to be a Heat fan going into last night.... everything was on the table from looking like a lottery team to being one of the favorites to win the title.

One of the Heat writers said that he has given up a combined $25m in salary since 2010.

Biyombo's 23 years of age and not even in his prime. Mozgov is going to be 30.

So you're saying that even though Biyombo hasn't emerged after 5 years in the league, he's going to now simply because he's younger than Mozgov? They had nearly identical PER ratings last year, in Biyombo's best season and Mozgov's worst.

Well, just now hearing that the 4th year on the Mozgov deal has a team opt out, so that makes it a tad better....3 years is still alot however

Crazy money being thrown around to average talent.

Where's the ACTUAL offers to Wade from outside teams?
