So you're saying that even though Biyombo hasn't emerged after 5 years in the league, he's going to now simply because he's younger than Mozgov? They had nearly identical PER ratings last year, in Biyombo's best season and Mozgov's worst.

Biyombo=Jerome James.

He still has upside, Timofey probably doesn't.

During Jordan's 5th Season he averaged 9, 7, 1.5 blocks in 24 mins.

Biyombo put up 6, 8, 1.6 blks in 22 mins.

Seems pretty similar to me.

His career numbers are 6, 8, 1.6 in 21 mins.

That's not one post Season.

I know you don't like him.

But, he's not a slug.

You also have to remember he was a complete project coming into the NBA. The difference between him and Jerome James is that Biyombo has already had years of NBA experience and James came in as a relative unknown who just happened to have a good one year run.

Biyombo has been always who he has been. His production skyrocketed in the playoffs, but it shows what he's capable of on a larger scale. It's not like his rebounding and shot blocking came out of nowhere. He's always done those things, but the problem was his ability to match the IQ part of the game with his physical skillset.

Biyombo's best case scenario IMO is Ben Wallace. No one really knew where Jerome James' ceiling was, thus why he was over-valued. At worst, Biyombo would be a solid rim protector and rebounder.

Same with Deandre.

Biyombo has nowhere near the length nor athleticism.

But, you could do worse If you are looking for a defensive Center.

You are correct. Ben Wallace is a much better comparison.

Biyombo showed out in the playoffs. Sometimes it just takes an opportunity. He has upside, especially compared to Mozgov.

I guess we'll see. Mozgov showed out in the playoffs the year prior.

Is Conley gonna agree to sign with Dallas, and then visit Marc Gasol and get locked in his house until he changes his mind and returns to Memphis?

Man Pacers got a steal compared to what the Lakers and Knicks are giving out to their centers.

True, but knowing what you are getting isn't necessarily a bad thing. And they are getting a good center in Mozgov assuming the knee is good.
bad thing when it comes to a bad player. Moz is not good. Like I said ask any Cavs fan. There is a reason he didnt play.

Lakers and Knicks wanted defense. That is a good price for Jefferson though.
really good price. Did his agent screw up. In a way it will hurt some of the center market.

He was playing hurt. There is also a reason why he was a key part of the Cavs in the finals the year prior.

Rumor is the 3rd and 4th years are team options, so the contract is a little easier to take.

Even if Wade has taken $25 million less since 2010, Riley and the Heat will make it up to him someday, whether that be he wants to stay playing till he is 40 and still collecting a paycheck when no one else would take him or the Heat offering him a job once he retires. Either Wade Riley wont do him dirty and will pay the guy what he is due.
