I mean he's never been a bad guy. Does he even have an arrest record?

Maybe Tristan called the police when Whiteside stole the ball from him mid air last season?

yup...Whiteside- totally a changed man...no longer the guy that fell in the draft, sent to the dleague, released, blackballed, comes-back and is suspended multiple times for cheap shotting guys- called out by his coach and teammates for his destructive behavior.- DEFINITELY NO LONGER THAT GUY, lol.

These are quotes from LESS than a year ago--- all though- people can have life changing epiphanies and totally change themselves in a few months- and paying attention to their track record built up over years and years and years is just 100% not warranted...i mean, why would you look at YEARS of conduct and rely on that when you can rely on a few months?

ALL of the below is well within the last calendar year......Maybe you guys are right- YEARS AND YEARS AND YEARS of conduct are changed by a few months and 90M dollars.....we shall see! ;)

Chris Paul runs four straight pick-and-roll plays to isolate Hassan Whiteside and expose the fact he wouldn't dare step out to defend. Doc Rivers yells "Keep doing it until they stop it, damn it." Spoelstra responds by putting Bosh back in the game. Doc sees Bosh at scorers table and says they're getting a mobile big in the game. Bosh tells Doc, "I ain't a big any more. Though y'all knew that."

he Miami Heat has done everything possible to coexist with the phenomenon that is Hassan Whiteside. The team has coddled him in ways it has rarely done for any player. It's structured contracts — including that of its franchise star — to ensure it could remain in a position to break the bank for him this off-season. It's tasked an on-the-court/off-the-court tag team of Alonzo Mourning and Juwan Howard to keep him on the straight-and-narrow when it comes to all things NBA life that most players don't have to be begged to figure out at 26 years old. It's miscast its star point guard — delaying adapting to a style that best suits him — so that it can cater to a style of play that better suits Whiteside. It's continually slowed the bus just so Whiteside can jump on — only to see him jump back off at every stop.

When it was mentioned that this is Whiteside’s first real outburst of the year and he has done well restraining himself so far, Bosh acknowledged that but also pointed out “We’re adults. There’s only so many times– I mean, restraining? It’s not like this is the UFC. It’s basketball. It’s not that emotional. We haven’t had emotional games yet. If you think that’s emotional, then wait ‘til March and April when there’s problems if you don’t do your job. That’s tense.”

Whiteside's maturity questions again front and center for Heat
The reputation Whiteside carried in the wake of last season's breakout was of emotional instability, of his March ejections for dustups against Phoenix Suns center Alex Len and Boston Celtics forward Kelly Olynyk.

But all the while there was perceived discontent about being asked to make his return from a recent hip injury off the bench over the past week.TNT's national broadcast not only pointed to apparent indifference from Whiteside while on the bench, but also included analyst Charles Barkley questioning Whiteside's game-to-game effort
Dwyane Wade on Heat at All-Star break: "We've got to get better"

"He shows up once a week, and he's too inconsistent for my taste," Barkley said during Tuesday's broadcast.

Though there have been more egregious Flagrant 2 fouls than the one that got Whiteside ejected against the Spurs, the Heat coaching staff, teammates and TNT announcers weren’t willing to gloss over it.

“That’s just Whiteside being Whiteside,” TNT’s Charles Barkley said, with Marv Albert, Reggie Miller and Chris Webber offering somewhat harsher analysis on the national game broadcast.

Whiteside’s incident marked the third time in a year, but the first time this season, that he has been ejected for a foul.

Your copy/paste technique is incredible.

Maybe in a few years time you might know something about basketball yourself.

don't care WHAT Wiggy says, that one's ALWAYS gonna be a classic...

We need a still image of that for wiggys avi as soon as he loses a bet.

But he'll probably chicken out of it or not show up like he's always done.

You can choose to quote Charles , or you can cite current facts.

He easily lead the league in blocks , 92 ahead of 2nd place.
He was 3rd in rebounds and FG%.
His PER was 7th in the NBA.
That was done playing an average of 29MPG.

Then, he had 6 teams wanting him at max price.

Poor Lochte...

And lol at his Whiteside suspension exaggerated importance.

38 players were last season.
In 2014, 39 were.
In 2013, 49 were.

It's a man's game, and shit happens, especially when you're the biggest man on the court and always in the center of it.
