My first half thoughts

The back line has been very solid aside from a couple breakdowns. A couple of Paraguay's counters had nothing to do with a defensive breakdown, and they've been limited to just three real chances in the run of play.

Wood does a great job with his back to the defense and keeping their back line honest. Missed connecting on a couple of final passes in the box by a hair too.

Dempsey is still a bad ass and I still really like the Wood/Dempsey/Zardes combo.

Brooks has really developed. He saved our asses at least a couple times that half.

Cameron's still getting comfortable at CB.

Guzan is a fucking boss. Not a hack, as one ignorant poster suggested. @kramer1

Bedoya is once again a ghost.

Midfield has been solid.


Overall first half grade: B
