Each player should only be judged in reality by their era. Bill Russell was absolutely a monster in his generation, but if you look at his build, it'd be hard for him to sustain that level today. He was 6'10", 245lbs in his playing days. For comparison sake, Kevin Durant is 6'11", 245lb too. It'd be near impossible for him to hold up against a player like Shaq. But that shouldn't negate how great and dominant he was as a player during his time.

Athletes now a days are bigger and stronger and more skilled. It's just how it goes.

And you think that those players from the past wouldn't use the training techniques, nutritional supplements and medical advancements to improve their athletic ability and strength like players do today?

You're crazy. The way they used to foul & they were considered hard fouls back in the day Bron Bron wouldn't have lasted a week in the league.

I've seen this discussion before. Lebron's body could have taken the pounding. (also, D Green) Curry & Durant (and Irving) -- I'm not sure they would hold up as well to hard fouls.

Still ducking.

Dude is hilarious. He trash the dude because he had a bad night in his first game with Washington. In the following 3 games, he shows Washington exactly why they acquired him and dude doesn't say a word.

Here's the thing, if you took current day Lebron and dropped him into the 90's, he wouldn't have stood up to it very well. Not because his body couldn't take it, but because he's not used to it.

However, if he were learning the game in the 90's, it wouldn't have fazed him and he might even be more effective because he would have another way to use his size and strength that today's rules don't allow.

Interesting. In his last championship, 7-game series ... Bill Russell played ever minute of every game. (and he was also the Head Coach)

FYI ... I actually did watch the youtube of the game. Russell (34 years old) was listed as playing all 48 minutes.

But he actually benched himself for the last 7 seconds -- inbounds play. (I don't think he wanted to get fouled and have to shoot FTs)

After this game -- both Elgin Baylor & Jerry West had played in 8 NBA finals -- and were 0 for 8. (Elgin never won one -- Jerry won one later as a player.) They are two of top 20-25 players of all time ... interesting how they are ranked so high after losing every single time (up to then) in NBA Finals.

Surely you are mistaken. He has said on here several times that he ALWAYS admits when he is wrong. lol

Exactly how me snd my little brother were about everything.

Sibling rivalry.

It's harder on the parent sometimes. But, most of the time is a blessing because they can entertain each other...while they argue...lol

His body isn't the question- it's his whinning & the part of his game that requires mental toughness IMO.

Yeah they posted dragic numbers with waiters compared to wade and the difference is huge. I'll try to find it.

I didn't see stats.
Eye test is telling enough for me.
I told Dragic last year that I wasn't sure why Spoelstra was running a wildcat offense when he had a a great QB.

Think is the key word in your question.
