(def. a LITTLE tongue-in-cheeck)

but...at least 3 dudes that play at the local community center could have made the rosters in this game.

LeBron would average 50-20-20 if he go in a time machine. (if h really wanted to).

Lmao i saw Kareem Abdul Jabbar break a guy's nose for a hard foul...

LeClown wouldn't have survived that era...:dhd:

@gordontrue , @Shanemansj13 , @lebron23james

now that Derrick Williams, Deron Williams, Kyle Korver, and Andrew Bogut are all officially Cavs- itll be interesting to see what lineups Lue decides to use. Lets assume Love and Jr are healthy....what do you guys think a crunch-time 5 looks like? against the Warriors, Celtics, Wiz, Raptors....how about what would their best small lineup look like? big lineup etc....what i would like to see?

itll be interesting depending on the series which bench guys get the most run- i would expect Bogut to be a nice weapon vs. the Celtics.

my crunch time 5 right now though- might be something like Kyrie, Korver, JR, LeBron, TT......all though- a lineup with Deron Williams, Kyrie Irving, JR, LeBron, Love would be interesting- i think Deron Williams will bring out the best in Kevin Love especially. I def. want to see some pick and roll between thsoe 2.

For what reason in lineup 1 would you use Korver over Love?

I do think you will see a lot of Kyrie and Deron Williams on the court together.

And you think that those players from the past wouldn't use the training techniques, nutritional supplements and medical advancements to improve their athletic ability and strength like players do today?

I actually think that Bill Russell and Wilt would be physically and athletically fine in today's NBA because they were both way ahead of their time in those regards. Russell ran the 400 meter dash in 49.6 seconds and he high jumped 6 feet 9.25 inches using pre-Fosbury Flop techniques. If he had used the Fosbury Flop, he probably easily clears 7 feet. I have yet to read about any center or power forward today who have achieved anything like that. Heck, most guards would have trouble matching those athletic feats. Wilt was also a track star, but in addition, he was incredibly strong and there are many tales of his feats of strength.

the Cavs fans....if you would like to chime in on an ACTUAL relevant basketball topic- how Ty Lue will sort out the lineup questions for the Defending NBA Champions after acquiring Kyle Korver, Derrick Williams, Deron Williams, and Andrew Bogut i would be just tickled pink to know your thoughts.

I gotta say- when March roles around, and after the All-Star break, the good teams, the elite teams, start prepping for the playoffs. You remember that don't you? The Cavs definitely did not have this amount of roster turnover combined with long term injuries to starters the last 2 years. I'm interested in seeing how Ty Lue juggles that and integrates so much talent into a team with only 6 weeks until the playoffs start.

Any thoughts?- would be interested in reading them- but I would imagine you are prob more interested in making immature, slightly creepy jokes. Cool.

Wilt bench pressed 500 lbs. Shaq only got up to 450 lbs.
when you talk about the best athletes- guys that could play in any generation- obviously Wilt is up there. The best of the best athletes? Jim Brown for sure, Lawrence Taylor was a beast. Deion was an unreal athlete....baseball Bonds and Griffey- now Trout.....basketball Wilt, Jordan, LeBron, Shaq

i gotta be missing some guys- but those are the first guys that pop in my head when i think of the best of the best just pure freak athletes.

His body isn't the question- it's his whinning & the part of his game that requires mental toughness IMO.

I'm not sure that anyone who watched the finals last year (and previous year) would be saying Lebron is mentally weak. There is a reason that any team Lebron is on has at least a chance at winning in the finals. Would anyone say the same thing about Curry or Durant ? (even on a stacked team -- there are questions about both)

Jerry West ... 1 for 9 in Finals ... mentally weak ?

The ones you are leaving out are Man O' War and Secretariat. I doubt that any horse ever breaks Secretariat's record at the Belmont Stakes. If you've never seen the 1973 Belmont Stakes, look it up. It's simply incredible.

So why Korver over Love?

Bo Jackson is still the greatest athlete of all time

Maybe ... but he got hurt early and only had a short career.

It would be a blast if a recent athlete tried to play more than 1 sport -- like Bo & Prime Time.

FYI ... one of the best multisport athletes was Danny Ainge -- MLB baseball & NBA basketball -- and really good at golf.

There was also a front office NBA guy drafted in the NFL as a receiver for the Cowboys ...

Pat Riley.

Curry is a scratch golfer. I'm sure LeBron could play some position in the NFL.

LeBron was going to be heavily recruited to play at a solid college and the football coaches basically told all of them don't bother.
