With Kyle Lowry out, the Heat are probably the 4th best team in the East right now. It wouldn't be surprising at all if they climbed to the 5th or 6th spot by season's end.

Are the Hawks a good team?
This Heat murdered them twice lately.
Ask them how much fun it is to play THIS version of the Heat.

Now, im realistic.
Truth prob is somewhere more in the middle.

They play Cavs twice next week, but of their last 24, 14 are ar home and 12 are vs teams under .500.

If they play .600 ball, my guess is thats good enough to make playoffs.

How about comparing your Heat to a team w/ a similar record like I did? The Hawks are an about .500 team & your Heat aren't. Or is what I just said incorrect?

Hey my bad for looking @ Miami's entire season & not just the run they're on right now. Instead of looking @ what they have done through 58 games I should just focus on their last 17 or so games. Making what they did before their run meaningless.:D

Its not meaningless as far as standings, but it in no way, shape or form is a refection of how well this group has bonded and is playing now.

Didnt both the Heat and Cavs Big 3 start out very shaky by perceived expectations for near half a season?

A week stretch of wins can be blown off as whatever.
This has been going on now for what?
Month and a half?

apparently if you win a lot of games in a row those count as extra.

Agree.
Cavs,Celts,Wiz and prob Toronto would be favored in a series.
I doubt anyone else would.

i think Deron Williams waiver deadline is 5 pm today.....if he is not picked up - that makes it clear for him to get to the Cavs.

listening to windhorst- sounds like he thinks there will be a lot of guys bought-out that have not been bought out yet. That this will be the biggest buyout market of at least the last decade.

itll be interesting to see who becomes available.

Go back and read your propaganda posts last year after Blatt was fired and Cavs made a couple roster changes.

We're talking past each other. No biggie.
i know the Cavs will be looking at hte buyout market- but i bet there will be some guys avaliable that will help the Warriors as well

Terrence Jones is a very interesting name---- he would help EITHER TEAM....but- he will prob go where he gest more playing time to try and establish as much value for his free agency as possible.

what i think is funny that just a few weeks ago you were rooting for the Heat to lose every game. lol.

No doubt.
A few weeks ago it appeared we'd be fighting for bottom 5 record in the league.

As much as a top 3 pick would prob be better a long term preference, as a fan of the Heat as well as the game, its impossible for me now to not root for these players to make history.

A few weeks ago, people were joking that the Heat were going after the record of most wins in a row for a bad team. Now, the playoffs and a winning record looks like a very realistic possibility. I think it's probable at this point.

its just so great when you get the last laugh.

The Cavs had a trade exception worth about 5 million- they could have absorbed Jameer Nelson, TJ McConnell, Shelvin Mack-- (or signing Chalmers or Heinrich etc)....since those guys all made less than their exception

Deron Williams makes 9 million. The ONLY way they could have gotten Williams- a HELLUVA lot better than those other 3 guys- was to break up a member of their core- a Frye or a Shumpert etc.

so - by being PATIENT- David Griffin, one of the best GM's in the game, has an idea that Deron Williams will be bought out---- and it works like fucking magic. They are able to add a guy on a 9 million dollar contract- that is SUPERIOR to any of the guys they had rumored talks about...just because they were patient and didnt panic.

so by NOT USING THE TRADE EXCEPTION WORTH ONLY about 5M- they will be getting a BETTER player than they could have if they panicked.

Its why Griffin is one of the best in the game. Hopefully it gets done today- im not holding out any hope for BOTH Bogut and Williams- but that would be ideal.

poor Dan's payroll is just gonna continue to climb...lol....geezus.
