Lemme guess, 90s Bulls? Showtime Lakers?

90's Bulls that won 72 games. 1972 Lakers that won 33 straight. 87 Lakers. 85-86 Celtics. 70-71 Milwaukee Bucks...

San Antonio's team that beat Miami in Lebron's last season played the best basketball I've ever seen.

I could probably come up with a couple more if you want.

Spurs only beat the Heat cause Arison is a cheap, shitty owner who didn't want to invest 15M in Mike 'bench' Miller.

Gotta finish the job in June to be nominated.

Again, you guys are missing it. I get it that if they don't win a championship they don't get to say they were one of the great teams in terms of accomplishment. I'm saying that the plain, simple level of play, total domination of other teams, is on a par with other great teams in history. The execution of the game of basketball.

I'm not even claiming better than, although they would win a 7 game series half the time vs any other team you could name. They have 4 allstars in their prime. They have 3-4 potential hall of famers in their prime.

Name one aspect of their game that needs improvement....can't think of any. Just like you can't think of any when you name other great teams in history. This team is on the same level as any other great team you can name. I think it's hard for non Warriors fans to acknowledge this, because they are pretty polarizing as a team. It's the same reason LeBron is actually underappreciated, some folks just can't stand him.

Yes they need to win a ring to erase all doubt. But let me ask this, let's say they fall short in the Finals. Does that mean the 2015 Warriors are a better team than the 2017 Warriors, basically the same team plus Durant? That's just silly. If this Warriors team loses in the Finals, does that mean, I dunno, the 1979 Supersonics are a better team? The 1983 76ers? The 2007 Spurs? Again, silly.

This is all just yakking and opinions so there's no way to truly know. But that's why we're all on a sports message board innit?

lol Whatever you say.

You just said they're the best in 20 years+. So actually no, 2014 San Antonio was better?

Again, I'm not claiming they are better than the best teams of all time. But they are among them.

the durant quotes about shaq i thought were pretty crazy.....i dont know where he gets off saying shaq wasnt skilled.

Durant has changed a lot this last year. He no longer the humble and quiet guy he used to be.

I remembered the Spurs after I made the first post (told you I'm old. lol).

They're not even in the conversation if they don't win the title. Every one of those teams I mentioned won the title in those seasons. You can't be one of the best teams of all time if you can't finish.

Did I say anything about luck? I said they went on a nice roll. The 2 aren't the same.

You said 'they arent the only bad team thats beat a good team this year'.
The Heat are no longer a bad team.

Whiteside scored 2 and it wasnt even a competitve game.

Pacers tonight.
Lets see how it goes.

:spit:

They have 4 allstars in their prime. They have 3-4 potential hall of famers in their prime.

The '87 Lakers had 3 HOF'ers, 2 who are in the conversation for GOAT and 2 all star caliber players coming off the bench.

Name one aspect of their game that needs improvement....can't think of any.

Interior defense and post offense come to mind.

Does that mean the 2015 Warriors are a better team than the 2017 Warriors, basically the same team plus Durant?

If the 2017 Warriors are healthy and don't win the title...then yes, it does. The 2015 Warriors finished the job.

Dewayne Dedmond gets it done again.

Ever since getting that starting nod, this dude is killing it defensively and on the glass.
He might be the best defender on the team that has the 2-time DPOY.

We haven't had a big man this freakishly athletic since Robinson in the early 90s.
I have said it several times, but the Spurs ability to find guys like Green, Mills, Dedmon is freaky.

Pau Gasol had 17/11 off the bench.
Maybe Popovich might stick with that rotation.

I'm glad to see Dedmon doing well. He is an interesting story. Didn't even begin playing organized basketball until his senior year of high school. I thought it was a mistake when he left USC with a year of eligibility left.

Leave it to the Spurs to bring him in as an undrafted FA and turn him into a viable, contributing player.
