Afflalo, W. Chandler, PJ Tucker....all out there and avaliable....and they choose Bogdon- who they will have to PAY this summer if they want to keep him. They see Lou Williams slip through their hands

if i was a Wizards fan i would be throwing up right now.

Honestly, I would go Lou, Bogo, , Chandler, Tucker, Afflao.

They are in good shape at the 3 with Oubre and Porter.

Sg is rail thin.

i think he should have hired a guy with some experience. I dont think Pelinka is a terrible choice- but id be a little worried that the management triumvirate of Jeanie, Magic and Pelinka have combined zero GM experience and zero assistant GM experience.

itll be interesting this summer what approach they take. Lakers have about 22M in cap room. Itll be interesting to see if they want to roll that over to the next season and go after a guy like George--- or if they use it up on a long term deal that would effectively take them out of the George sweepstakes.

Didn't people say the same about hiring novice coaches like Kerr and Stevens?

He has experience negotiating contracts.

Who better to deal with agents than a former agent?

Who better to sale your franchise to free agents than a guy who knows what is important to the players of today?

They kept the West kid who was the Assistant GM.

I commend them for being forward thinkers, instead of bringing in a retread.

Being a GM is just the other side of the coin of being a agent.

As David Aldridge of NBA.com noted on Twitter, adding a superior scorer means Scott Brooks will no longer feel compelled to have at least one starter and often more on the court at any given time, which has translated into all five starters averaging more than 32 minutes per game.

At the same time, despite being a pretty efficient scorer as well (his .572 true shooting percentage is solidly better than league average), Bogdanovic still rates worse than replacement level by both ESPN's real plus-minus and Basketball-Reference.com's box plus-minus metrics because of his lack of measurable defensive contributions. Bogdanovic averages just 0.6 steals per 36 minutes and has blocked three shots all season.

As a result, I put Bogdanovic seventh in my rankings of wings available at the deadline. Worse yet, wing wasn't really Washington's area of need. Their biggest problem is backup point guard, which hasn't yet been addressed.

why not just give up a 2nd rounder for Nick Young- who actually shoots the 3 better? than Bogdon...ughh. terrible.

Why not Young?

Because they traded that parasite a few years back for being part of the turd brigade with Blatche and Javelle McGee.

They don't want a repeat.

See this?

If Dallas doesn’t jettison veteran center Andrew Bogut today, the Mavs are expected to buy out his contract. He could then become a legitimate possibility for the Cavaliers and Celtics, who both need to shore up their interior defense.

we heard those same rumors before he signed his last extension. We heard the same stuff about Russell Westbrook. We heard the same stuff about Kevin Love.

what did they all do? they all took the money.

Perhaps, but teams also have a say so.
Obviously the Kings didnt want to invest 200M in a headcase.

id rather have Bogut than Sanders thats for sure.

If Griffin ends up with a Cavs team that has added Korver, Williams and Bogut going into the offseason i would say thats DEFINITELY a net plus as compared to letting go of Mozgov and Delly. - thats for sure.

Andrew Bogut is in the trade to Philadelphia and Dallas' pick is protected 1-to-18 in the June draft, league sources say
NICE

get his ass to Cleveland Griffin and LeBron!!!! give him the chance to get a little revenge....lol....

if thats the ONLY move they made- bringing in Bogut- that would be fine by me.

as much as it would be bad for the Cavs if the Celtics got PG- i would laugh my ass off about all this "speculation" on him going to the Lakers. That would die a QUICK and merciful death.

Noel to the Mavericks for Bogut, Justin Anderson, and a conditional first round pick. Hmm.

Bogut will have options--- but i dont see a better one then the Cavs. That would be a nice depth front court guy to get- and best of all- he wouldnt have to play many minutes--- have the big guy rest up and be ready for when the REAL NBA season begins.

better than losing him for nothing in RFA this summer....

Also better than paying him $20 million per year. I like Anderson as a potential 3-and-D player off the bench. Interested to see what the conditions on the first rounder are.

If I'm the Sixers, I think I keep Bogut, if he's up for it. I do it for a couple reasons.

The Sixers don't really have many veterans on the team. He could act as a secondary defensive coach and a mentor to Embiid. Embiid's offense is there but his defense is still very much a work in progress. Having him there to help out with Saric and Embiid develop on that side of the ball would be very much needed.

Bogut could also get playing time with the team with Embiid out, Noel gone and Okafor might be on his way out as well. From a financial stand point it might build Bogut's off-season value.

Lastly, I'm not certain after this trade, but before it the 76ers were well under the cap floor. If they buy Bogut out, it will likely have to be for close to the full amount I would guess. Bogut even said before he's not really interested in a buy-out. I think that mostly comes from him trying to maximize his income right now.
