I wasnt aware that Kerr would let you make his coaching decisions.

So when Klay or Curry go to the bench you don't think it would be wise to put Korver in, all you have to do is put him on a guy not named one of those players lol. I guess Kerr could put one of those right back in after taking them out :laugh3: The point is his minutes will go down the deeper they get in the playoffs.

thats what i was thinking.

Smith and Korver can hold down the 2 position if the REALLY found a good deal to trade Shumpet- but it would have to be for a guy that plays defense.

itll be interesting to see what the Defending Champs do.

Griffin is really creative and has done some nice things in the past- but i would think the big move was Korver---- we shall see though.

what DO i know? Its gonna be a helluva fun ride from now till June and it starts tonight at the Q vs. the Bricks! maybe Melo will switch locker rooms? lol.

Trey Burke can be had for a second rounder.

ehhh..i saw that....i dont think the Wiz will be doing the Cavs any favors- and i gotta think the Cavs position as will enable them to recruit better buyout options than Trey Burke. Id rather have Shelvin Mack if it came down to an actual trade.

The Cavs arent gonna make a trade unless its for a guy who is BETTER than the level of player that will become avaliabl in the buyout market.

its why i have no clue why the Wiz just gave up a 1st rounder for a guy who kinda sucks and is a RFA at the end of the year....if you are going to spend real assets at least get real players.

What do you think of the Cavs working out Sanders yesterday?

and its not like Korver is playing 30 minutes a game

once JR is back he is a sharp shooter to come off the bench and give the 2nd unit some kick. that is a GREAT guy to bring off the bench and have matchup vs. the other teams second unit. With the Cavs versatility on the wing- they can stick Korver on the worst offensive player from the 1 to the 3 basically.

that 2nd unit Lue has been toying with where no one on the court is shorter than 6'7" is pretty interesting....

Bron, Korver, Jefferson, Williams, Frye......isnt that what it is? practically everyone can switch and everyone can go bombs away.

im telling you--- this is the time of the year you START to get excited for the playoffs....should be another helluva good time.

this sure beats scouting the NCAA tournament for lotto picks and praying for luck when the ping pong balls are picked LEMME TELL YA. lol.

No doubt...but I can't say I prefer that game to what we have today.

I think I'm at the point where I like both games almost equally. I still prefer the old style mainly because today's game is too centered around 3 point shooting and limits the ways teams can win.

The old style where players were made to pay for going into the paint and when the game was more physical was fun and exciting because teams/players genuinely didn't like each other (at least on the court) and teams could win with multiple styles. Some teams (like the Showtime Lakers) played a more open, finesse style (although they learned to get physical when they had to) and some (like the Celtics) played a more deliberate physical style (although they could get out on the break and run when they had to).

Then the Pistons ramped up the violence and other teams followed suit. Imo, because there were more styles of play, there were, at least, more teams who felt like they had a chance to win. If a team was more athletic than yours, you played them physical to take them out of the game. If a team was more physical, you tried to use your athleticism to run them out of the gym.

The current game is fun because it is a more open, free flowing style and even though I think there is too much emphasis on the 3, it also leads to huge swings in momentum, which brings it's own excitement. The problem is, because teams can't really play physical anymore, it limits ways that teams can win.

Im pretty sure I said his minutes would go down, because he cant defend.
Take it up with Wiggy.
Hes the one who argued the point.
Regardless, he cant defend anyone, and opponents will always try to expose it.
Most of the time, Cavs can overcome it.
Good luck with it though against the Warriors.

I think he is a great low risk signing for the remainder of the year if he is in shape, serious about playing.

But, I wouldn't give him more than a 1 year deal.

wtf.....

if PJ Tucker and or Wilson Chandler can be had for a first rounder...WTF were the Wizards thinking? lol....this is the type of shit that has resulted in the Cavs having no real competition in the EAst- incompetence like that.

hey...im not gonna let you steal my joy today! lol.....

the Defending Champs with the highest payroll in the league have their excellent general manager combing the league for help. If they cant get a guy who is significantly better than the level of player they will be able to attract as a premier destination in the buyout market- they wont make an additional trade. If they can- Dan will shell out the dollars.

This is when the NBA gets to be a helluva lot of fun for teams that are in contention!!!! ;)

Why is this bad for the Wiz?
because Bogdon sucks.

wouldnt you rather have PJ tucker or Wilson Chandler or Lou Williams or Kyle Korver and not some second rate shooting guard that cant shoot, cant paly D and cant rebound?

ill guarantee you 3 months from now that deal will be the worst one made at the deadline that is not a MAJOR deal. He wont help them what it was worth giving up. guaranteed.

i dont think Ibaka is a game changer- but at least he is a credible NBA starter.

Bogdon started about half and half at SG And SF- and i gotta think he is the worst "starting" sg in the league, and the 2nd worst starting SF behind McGruder.

I hope you don't trade for George.

1. Because I hate y'all.

2. See Melo trade to Knicks.

Breaking the bank to get him would be a mistake.

They tried to get Lou, got rejected.

He sucks?

You are hating, Dude.

The guy averages 14 ppg.

Yes, it's for a bad Team.

But, he is a good player and they get from under that Nicholson contract.

As for Korver, it's not like the Cavs are giving him up.

So, moot point unless you think they should have chased him before he was traded.

Plus, Dude is older.

The Wiz kids are not contenders.

So, the younger player is the way to go because the Wiz nucleus is youngish.

they wont. Pacers arent dealing him. IF they did deal him i couldnt see him going anywhere but Boston as Boston has the best assets and i think they value george more than butler.

IF i were to ballpark the chances of paul george getting moved today id say they are well under 1%.

I take rumors with a grain of salt.

But, the people's grapevine says he's only interested in the Pacers and Lakers.

I don't think Larry is trading him unless the Lakers give up all their young guys, picks and eat a bad contract.

If you say so.
I can still have fun watching the Heat.
Guys playing hard, playing the right way is often good enough for me.

Championship or bust is also fun, no denying, but it cant always happen.

we will see 3 months from now right?

they just gave up a real asset for the right to pay a replacement level guy money in restricted free agency. What does the guy actually do well?

we will bookmark this and see what he has contributed when the Wizards are eventually elminated. Ill guarantee you it wont be worth a real asset like a first rounder. You can do a LOT better with a first round pick then a guy like Bogdon who- like i said- if there is a worse starting SG i nthe league- i cant name him- and if there is a worse starting 3 outside of Rodney McGruder- i cant name him. (it seems he split his starts between those 2 positions).

thats why this is fun though- we shall see a few months from now- if he produces and helps them win a game in the playoffs they would have otherwise lost- ill be the first to say so---

but in the grand scheme of things- why give up a real asset for a guy that really doesnt do anything for you? its just reshuffling deck chairs on a sinking ship.
