You guys have some decisions to make this Summer.

I would be terrified to give Embiid a max deal this Off season.

He and Lavine picked a awful time to get hurt.

Embiid has one year before he hits RFA. Barring a major, major injury though (and this one doesn't qualify), the 76ers will have to give Embiid whatever he wants because the fans are in love with him. I don't have a good read on Embiid, yet, though. He's a little odd -- I could see him taking less money to help build a championship team . . . but, if he is the type to do something like that, he's probably going to want to get paid first and then maybe do that for his third contract.

Yeah you're right. If you look at the years of the big 3, his contract was almost identical to Bosh and James

Contracts were near equal, I forget reason they couldnt be.

As far as Wade, leopards dont change their spots, and 35 year old NBA knees dont improve.

He can get an extension this Summer. Your problem will be other Teams trying to steal him with a max that you will be forced to match.

An injury prone guy like this would be crazy to leave money on the table.

While Embiid also missed two complete seasons due to injury, he could theoretically command a five-year extension worth roughly $150 million this summer if he returns to the court and continues performing like a star. For Philadelphia, though, that means tying up a major chunk of its cap space through 2023.The Process is about to become very expensive

I have a gut feeling that his massive size will never allow him to stay healthy

Pretty tight race out west for the final spot to see who will get destroyed by the Warriors.

4 teams currently separated by 2 games. I'm hoping the Kings or Nuggets get in

Nuggets might have a fire sale.

They don't want to pay Gallo, Chandler wants to be traded and Mudiay is hurt.

What does how good his team is have to do with how good he is?

And yes, it's likely you're the only one who thinks he kind of sucks.

Because if you've got any scoring ability at all, it's easy to put up good numbers on a bad team. Just ask Michael Carter-Williams or Kris Humphries or Kevin Love. You get to a good team or even half decent team and things change. Nick Young has pretty much made a career out of it.

Sounds like, if i had to guess, that Love is not going to go to the All Star game...it would be better for him to rest anyway.

Lets hope the Cavs can win these next 2 games and go in to the break with AT LEAST a 2.5 game lead on Boston for the #1 seed.

Missing Shumpert does not help things. When you are missing JR, and then missing his backup- Shumpert (Who is def. the Cavs best 6th man), things get a little thin. Its lucky they have Korver and Liggins to step up, but missing both Shumpert and Smith isnt exactly fun--- and then also Love (for what i assume will be the next 2 games).

Id rest Love Tues. and Wed., so he gets basically 2 whole weeks off to rest. That would be good for his nagging knee and back issues.

sure sounds like the cavs will try and sign Dwill to a contract for the rest of the year once his 10 day is up.

From the 76ers perspective, why sign him early to a max contract if you believe that another team will offer him one that you can simply match? Basically, you lock yourself into a max contract without the advantage of knowing whether Embiid will even be healthy exiting the 2017-2018 season. I suppose the major benefit to that is keeping Embiid happy, which is a nice benefit.

Wrong D Will.

But, you have to take what you can get.

Agree about Love sitting out.

I saw someone asking Melo about being his injury sub like it was already a done deal.

Young is taking 7 three's a game and hitting 41.8%. He is having a career year. Does that surprise me in a contract year? no.

his 2 years previous to this year were just atrocious. I mean, last year he was so bad so bad its not even funny to joke about how bad he was.....he was merely awful the year before that.

but he is playing well right now.

You could be right. I hope not. Maybe the 76ers will have to manage his health for his entire career. I think the timing of this meniscus tear is a little bit suspect. Some people in Philly think they shut Embiid down to slow their momentum. I'm not sure I buy that -- but I have a feeling the front office could be using the Embiid injury to try to bolster Okafor's trade value. If Embiid is injured, the 76ers are suddenly not in any rush to trade one of their big men, which gives them more leverage than with a healthy Embiid. Maybe not much additional leverage, but it's something.

I totally agree.

But, with his injury history, you know his rep will want it now.

You guys don't have the excuse of needing the cap to chase free agents because you are under the salary cap floor.

Dwill is kind of interesting though, as he is a 6'8" guy that can switch and guard multiple positions and finish at hte rim......

LeBron keeps asking for a backup point guard, -but the Cavs front office is prioritizing wing players (Korver, Dwill)- becuase they know who they have to matchup against down the road.

Swagy isn't fooling anyone.....lol

I don't think he will be out of the league.

But, he better mentally prepare to sign for the minimum.

Yep.

They have tunnel vision.

Plus, why not wait to see who gets bought out?

Saric has been quietly excelling..... Illaysova too.

Exactly. He's pretty terrible and we all know that. That's why I question Vucevic . . . can he be a starter on a good team? I just don't know. My gut says "no."
