Serge Ibaka would really help Bostons rebounding issues and give them a very good and versatile defender. I think that would be a good move for them to make.

They could run a lineup out there of Smart, Bradley, Crowder, Ibaka, Horford that would be pretty amazing defensively.

What's your point again?
i guess my point is that as fun as a long win streak is- its little more than a novelty after its over. You dont get extra credit for those games.

I hope the Heat stay playing solid ball and get the 8 seed but we shall see what happens. As much as i hope it happens i would bet against them making the 8 seed despite being only 1.5 games back on February 12th.

Boston is no joke. The Cavs got slapped around in their road trip through Portland and Utah---- the Celtics just won both of those games.

ITs crazy that team is gonna get a top 3 pick. Celtics are def. gonna be the Cavs biggest competition for the next 3-4 years i think.....unless the Sixers really come on strong quickly, or the Bucks get lucky iwth Parker getting healthy.

So you're saying the Nets won't be competition for the Cavs the next couple of years?

If the Cavs dont win it all, in reality, their season is the same novelty, or even more of one.

The Knicks are going to defeat the Spurs

It is strange this year.

The SPURS have dominated the good teams and had a ton of puzzling losses versus horrible teams.

When presented with playoff teams, the SPURS beat them.
When presented with non-playoff teams, the SPURS are a 50/50 shot it seems.

I am guessing they are simply bored and are not taking the bad teams seriously enough.
They are almost locked into their seeding. They are playing out the stretch even before the allstar game.

The NBA is sort of boring this year.
We spend more time talking about the MVP race then any sort of playoff shuffling.

The Spurs have the tiebreaker PLUS at least a 4 game lead versus Houston, Toronto, Boston, Cleveland, and Utah.
Unless they completely collapse (or get injured), they are unlikely to lose that seeding to those teams.
And They probably cannot catch Golden State unless the Warriors collapse.

I don't remember a scenario like this ever for them with so much time left.
2 months of basketball could very well do nothing whatsoever to change anything.

So no more complaining when Pop rest his guys since they're almost locked in as the 2nd seed and will have HCA vs any team out East?

Actually I read on one of the sites (538 maybe?) that that's true every year, playoff seeding is pretty much set in stone by the half way point. There may be a small move up or down but not much changes. Wish I could find the link.

One interesting thing is Ibaka was traded for 3 players -- including Sabonis & Oladipo. Right now, OKC would not take Ibaka back for either of those two. (free agency coming up)

Had a 16 point lead entering the 4th. Gets outscored 36-19 at home to lose to a bad Pistons team 102-101.

Kyle Kover shot almost 60% from three last month, now shooting around 50%...That was such a good pick up

That number should keep trending up, hes always wide open

You are correct. He was fierce and fearless.

Knicks with Oakley, McDaniel, Anthony Mason, Larry Johnson, Ewing, Sprewell in the '90s (not all at same time) -- that was a tough team.

I am sure LeBron could find 99 things to bitch about, but beating the Nets is not one.

Did you read this about Pat riley? Riley was so adamant about not helping his former superstar that he totally abandoned two trades just to keep Cleveland from getting guard Norris Cole, James’ former teammate who stuck around in Miami until he was dealt to the New Orleans Pelicans at the trade deadline in 2015.

Riley was so adamant about not helping his former superstar that he totally abandoned two trades just to keep Cleveland from getting guard Norris Cole, James’ former teammate who stuck around in Miami until he was dealt to the New Orleans Pelicans at the trade deadline in 2015.

The Heat have now seen their relationship sour with not just James, but his two star teammates who helped bring the Heat back-to-back titles, Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh. Wade left the Heat as a free agent to join his hometown Chicago Bulls, and Bosh has been sidelined with blood clots despite insisting that he is able to play."

I repeat, this is a different game with Kanter.

I'm not sure. In the first OKC/Ws game this year -- they only played Kanter like 2 minutes -- because he could not guard on the perimeter in pick & rolls. He played more the 2nd game -- but had a terrible plus/minus.

If they could add Fultz or Ball, I think it would help Simmons.
Yes, they want him to be Greek Freak 2.0 and I think he can.
But, Cavs are a perfect example of why you need more than one playmaker.

Depending on the Lakers pick, the Sixers could get picks like #1 and #5. They could get their new backcourt -- Fultz/Ball & Dennis Smith/Jackson/Monk.

A lot depends on Ben Simmons

Also depends a lot on how they round out their backcourt. The will have 1 or 2 high picks in the coming draft -- and I'd expect they will move a Center for backcourt player.

This is situation where signing 1 or 2 veterans for $$$ for 2-3 years could help accelerate their improvement.
