its hard for me to say money is an issue when no one in the history of the league has committed to his franchise what Dan G contributes to his dollar wise- going ove the cap wise.

You cant go higher then #1 can you? lol.

And yet, he let 2 players go who provided exactly what Lebron is now whining that they don't have. I can understand letting Mozgov go. As you have pointed out, he had lost his confidence. Sometimes a change of scenery can help with that (although it hasn't so far).

But Delly? Lebron specifically said they need a "veteran backup point guard" which is exactly what Delly is. Gilbert let him (both of them) walk because of money...period.

That puts the lie to your claims that money is no issue.

their is no line when it comes to adding players that will contribute in the playoffs.

That's not what Lebron has been crying about. He's been crying for someone who can help reduce minutes for the starters in the regular season. In the playoffs, rotations get shortened and starters play more minutes. Whoever they get will see their regular season minutes reduced drastically when JR Smith returns and you try to claim they are looking for playoff help.

You claiming that the Cavs want someone who will help in the playoffs is just you moving the goalposts because your constant spewing that money is no issue has been proven wrong.

The Cavs are not going to spend an extra 45 million on Dellavadova when he didnt help beat hte Warriors last year.

If it came down to 45 extra million to pay for Carmelo Anthony? The Cavs would add 45 million in payroll. If it came down to an extra 45 million to add an impact defender like a Jae Crowder?--- the Cavs payroll would have another 45 million on top of it this year

when it comes down to 45 extra million for Dellavadova who didnt help the Cavs beat the Warriors?--- they will let that go and look for opportunities elsewhere.

Like you were expecting Delly to not play?

Plus, as pointed out, giving starters a break during regular season equates to helping them in the playoffs.

Youre argument would be like a parent telling their kid they could go to the toys r us and get whatever they want, then after they pick something, they say no, it has to be under $20.00

forgive me, lol, but its just funnny to see you argue with me about money being an issue when Dan Gilbert has by LEAPS AND BOUNDS the highest payroll in the league.

once you are #1- there is no one else to jump. lol.

There is always a cost benefit analysis to do-

If the Cavs could get Jae Crowder for 10M - and it ended up adding 30M in their payroll in tax--- i could see Dan doing that.

They arent gonna sign Mozgov for 15M and add 45M in tax- for a guy that didnt help them beat the Warriors.

I mean- the cold hard fact is that Dan Gilbert will spend the money if the player is worth it. Its why he DESTROYS the #2 team in payroll the last 2 years. Its why the #2 team in payroll is not even CLOSE respectively.

Its why I keep saying and maintain the fact that Dan Gilbert has a big fat wallet and spends more then ANYONE ELSE- when you have a historic talent like LeBron- you should spend at a historic level

and no one on this site would be dumb enough to say that Dan Gilbert does not spend at a HISTORIC level.

73 wins is now more part of LeBron's legacy than any of the Warriors
it's more a part of LBJ's legacy than any of the guys who actually were on that Warriors team? Really? I can see why you would think the two will forever be linked- but to say it's more of his legacy is a far reach.

When you take down that superior team the way Lebron and his teammates did then I definitely see what Gordon means. Nobody will remember the Warriors for their 73 wins, they will remember Lebron and that Cavs team for coming back from a 3-1 deficit and beating that team.

Good to see the Raptors playing well as of late. They take on Minnesota tonight so hoping another win.

its funny how the Cavs and Raptors both kinda went in the tank at the same time....

it allowed Boston to really creep up in the standings and be a factor for the #1 seed.

Its good to see you still dont comprehend what the discussion is about.
Yes, its opinion vs opinion, but James became the tiebreaker and said Gilbert should be spending more.

All of this bullshit is just deflection. Gilbert let them go over money...period. You can try to deflect, put up strawman arguments, spin and move the goal posts all you want.

None of it will change the fact that Gilbert let them go over money and that, at the least, Delly provided one of the very things that Lebron is now saying they need. If Gilbert wasn't concerned about money, Delly would still be a Cav.

...ummm....nope.
At least not Cav related.

Think back, while James was a Heat player, did he ever once say Arison didn't provide him enough?
he said it AT LEAST once and it was in as big a way as he possibly could. by walking out the door to a guy who would.
