The increases, which were first reported by ESPN, will depend on location and range from approximately 15 to 25 percent. The most affordable seats for season-ticket holders will spike from $32 to $40 per game. Not including the playoffs, the most sought-after courtside seats will rise from $625 to $715.1 day ago
Warriors to raise ticket prices - SFGate

I remember when Heat got big 3.
Riley addressed premium seat holders/sponsors and said if the fans wanted these type of players, they were going to help pay for them.

That being said, Heat prices are TONS higher then Warriors, and they never lowered then after James left.

I'm glad I saw this.
Dan G.'s prices are DEFINITELY not commiserate with his payroll......as i have said ad nauseum- Dan Gilbert's goal with the Cavs is not to make money- Dan G's goal with the Cavs is to enjoy his hobby.

Pretty sure you're the only person that believes this.
its true....supposedly he lost 40M last year....he doesnt give a shit....ticket prices are well below what a regular championship team with Bron Bron would have them at.....

this is his HOBBY. He makes billions and billions on Quicken Loans---

he doesnt care if he drops millions on the Cavs....i mean- we are seeing it.

Do you know current pricing on premium/courtside seats?

I find it beyond hard to believe that prices didn't jump the second he knew James was coming back.

When the Heat announced, they took all premium off the market, said they were sold out, then struck a deal with local broker so they could r*pe people.

40M can be very deceptive.
For instance, what did he take as salary for himself?
There's ways.
Marlins claimed they were losing tons of cash when they really were tuning a big profit.

Then why are Delly and Mozgov gone?
You can't have it both ways.
We understand that they aren't worth what it would cost to keep them, but if cash is no concern, then they'd be there.

becuase neither played in the playoffs last year and signing Mozgov would have resulted in ADDITIONAL 50M dollars AT LEAST and signing Delly would have been AT LEAST 30M

I mean- I dont think DAn G. minds dropping an extra 40-50 million here or there------- but if they signed Delly and Mozgov - make that deficit 130M just to keep 2 guys that didnt even help them beat the Warriors?

40-50M out of pocket expense on the Cavs?--- cool by him.....make that 130M to keep 2 guys that didnt help beat the Warriors? yaaaaaaaaaaaaaah....not gonna happen.

not gonna happen.

So now its what you think, when you decide to think it?
Wouldn't the additional looses equate to an additional tax write off?

And they aren't a package.
He should have kept Delly IMO unless he really believed he had more talent on the bench then what it appears they have at the PG position.

"this is his HOBBY. He makes billions and billions on Quicken Loans---"......

But wouldn't keep his backup PG who James said this about.

"If there was a bear right here and there was Delly right here and I shot the ball and I was wondering who would get to the ball first, Delly would tear that damn bear up.

"You all saw for the last two years Delly gave us everything.

"He damn near gave his life last year in the finals when he went to the hospital.

are you really criticizing Dan G's willingness to spend when he has the highest payroll in NBA history, and spent more in luxury tax in one year then Arison did in all 4 years he had LeBron combined?

Its Dan G's hobby....

he did do a wonderful job of riding the good-will generated from the Cavs to getting the Ohio Constitution amended so him and another party have a monopoloy on Casino's in Ohio (there are - i believe 4 allowed by the state constitution now- and Gilbert has control of 2 of them).

but ya---- this is Gilberts hobby. He doesnt give a flying fuck that he has the highest payroll in the history of the league and has spent in a way no one else will spend.

No.
I've been on Gilberts side.
What I'm doing though, is pointing out that your spam is just that.

Having the highest means little, since the cap is not much higher then ever before.

Bottom line, its not a free for all, and he let some talent go because of cost.

its hard for me to say money is an issue when no one in the history of the league has committed to his franchise what Dan G contributes to his dollar wise- going ove the cap wise.

You cant go higher then #1 can you? lol.

If it's a nonfactor, then you don't draw the line anywhere, let alone at what Delly would have cost him.

their is no line when it comes to adding players that will contribute in the playoffs.

The Cavs are not going to spend an extra 45 million on Dellavadova when he didnt help beat hte Warriors last year.

If it came down to 45 extra million to pay for Carmelo Anthony? The Cavs would add 45 million in payroll. If it came down to an extra 45 million to add an impact defender like a Jae Crowder?--- the Cavs payroll would have another 45 million on top of it this year

when it comes down to 45 extra million for Dellavadova who didnt help the Cavs beat the Warriors?--- they will let that go and look for opportunities elsewhere.
