Well it's either the Warriors were favorites and choked and were the best team or were the Cavs the best team and win like the Cubs? Can't be both.
its totally different you cant even compare....think of it.....

The Warriors had lost, what 1 game at home all year--- and then proceeded to lose 2 STRAIGHT games at home with their full roster at their disposal- absent a guy who got himself suspended for going after other mens genitals??

Teams lose 3 games in a row in baseball all the time. ESPECIALLY when half their playoff rotation is unavaliable. The Warriors hadnt lost 3 games in a row in almost 2 YEARS!

All the Warriors had to do is win one game at home after winning 40/41 games all year....that is the DEFINITION of a choke job.

The Cubs had to win 3 games in a row against the Tribes #4, starter, #5 starter, and ace pitching for the 2nd time on short rest. its not even comparable.

Every one of those 3 games the Cubs were the favorites before the first pitch was thrown.

IN two of those games they were HEAVY favorites--- obviously Bauer vs. Lester and reigning cy young winner Arrieta vs. JOSH TOMLIN ON SHORT REST, lol.

The only game the Cavs were teh favorites in the Warriors historic choke job was the Game 6 in Cleveland and they were BARELY favorites in that game - it was practically a pickem. Obviously the Warriors were heavy favorites at home when tehy lost 2 in a row at home for the first time in almost 2 years.

to say the 2 are comparable beyond both losing a 3-1 lead is laughable.

injuries to who? the Cavs were the team that actually had important guys MISS Games becuase of injury like Love with the concussion

the fact that Steph Curry played and excelled more than a month before the series started - and people want to say he was injured for the Finals is the worst excuse i have ever heard- if you are out there- you are good to go.

You've said so many stupid things over the years that is hard to rank, but this should make the top 10 of idiocy.

SO many times a players abilities are limited because of injury.

First thing that pops in my head was this from 2005

Game 7 - June 6th (Detroit Pistons 88, Miami HEAT 82): The HEAT's run for its first NBA championship came to an end at the hands of the defending world champions, in an 88-82 defeat in Miami. Rasheed Wallace scored 20 points and made several key baskets down the stretch to help lead Detroit to its second straight NBA Finals appearance. The Pistons controlled most of the first half, going up by as many as 10 points at the 3:22 mark of the second quarter, but an Eddie Jones steal and buzzer-beating shot to close the half pulled the HEAT to within five, 45-40. Dwayne Wade took over in the third quarter. Wade, who was hampered by a rib injury, scored 12 points on 5-of-6 shooting, and Miami took a 66-64 lead heading into the final quarter. Both teams battled evenly until the two-minute mark. After O'Neal knocked down one of his two free throws to give the HEAT a one-point, 79-78, edge, Wallace reclaimed the lead for the Pistons on their next possession. Wallace then put Detroit up by three with 55 seconds remaining with a put back dunk. With 17 seconds left Damon Jones had a chance cut the Pistons lead to one, but he only hit on one of two free throws and Detroit went 6-for-6 down the stretch for the win. Richard Hamilton lead the Pistons with 22 points. Wade finished the game with 20 points on 7-of-20.

Wade could barely moved, but gave it everything he had.
To say he was good to go because he tried gutting it out is just asinine.

Indians were near 3-1 favorites to win the series after game 5.

oh what a surprise!!! an aging Dwade who is constantly plagued with injury issues- was not at 100% after playing the marathon NBA regular season and through the playoffs!! WHAT A SHOCK!!! The list of NBA players that are not dealing with something by the time the Finals roll around after 8 months of basketball is a LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOT longer then the list of guys that are perfectly healthy.

im sure you were SHOCKED Dwade was not at 100% after the long regular season and playoffs, LOL....

WTF?

You said any player playing is "good to go".

What I posted has zero to do Wade in general, it just showed the idiocy of your post.

I was the first here to point out James was a Yankee fan after @WiggyRuss told us how great it was to see James supporting the Indians.

Yes, I'm having some fun with him today because of the 3-1 stuff and his party, but outside of that, I haven't made a negative James/Cavs post in quite some time.

I didn't make the comparison. You did.

just like in the NBA Finals- the better team won. Cant argue with that.

You said the better team won. Meaning that the Warriors being up 3-1 was irrelevant, because the best team won.

Either the Warriors were the better team and choked. Or they didn't choke and the better team (Cavs) won.

That's your exact premise. Again, which one is it?

After Game 4

Cavaliers +1100
Warriors -2500

what does that mean? i dont bet.......what is -2500 expresed as odds? thats not 25-1 is it?

so what a minute.....those are the same thing Turnup?

25-1 vs. 3-1? LOL

Like i said--- the Cubs were heavy favorites in Game 5 when the Tribe started regular #5 starter Trevor Bauer and his injured hand vs. Jon Lester in Chicago.

The Cubs were also favorites in Game 6 when they threw defending Cy Young winner Jake Arrieta on full rest- vs. the Tribe's regular #4 starter- Josh Tomlin- on short rest

and of course- the Game that was most even- but the Cubs were still favored- throwing Kyle Hendricks- who very well might win the Cy Young this year- vs. Corey Kluber who was pitching for the 3rd time in the series and was on short test.

I can see why the Tribe was 3-1 favorites being up 3-1---- but there was an obvious path back for the Cubs- and the baseball teams win and lose 3 games in a row all the time--- even good teams...The Cubs ahd the best record in baseball this year and their winning percentage was .640

The Warriors? Obviously were favorites on their home court in Game 5- where they had only lost 1 game at during the regular season. AT home in Game 6 the Cavs were slight favorites. At home in Game 7 the Warriors were again heavy favorites.

The Warriors winning percentage was .890 during the regular season- and had not lost 3 games in a row in almost 2 years. They had not lost 2 home games in ar ow in almost 2 years.

I mean- to compare the two is simply idiotic.

3-1. vs. 25-1?

what were the odds on the Cavs after going down 3-1?

I don't remember, but that's irrelevant.
You make it sound like the Tribe was some big underdog when in fact they became a huge favorite.
At the start of the series Cubs were 2-1 favorites.

It means you would have had to lay $2500 to win $100 on the Warriors or if you bet Cavs you would win $1100 for $100.

In other words, Warriors were HUGE favorite.

Cubs were a lot beter then the Indians and the Indians then lost 2 of their top 10 players.

THe Warriors absolutely deserved to be betting favorites having home field advantage after winning 73 games---- but as we learned--- there is only 1 King of the NBA....as we saw all last year-- a lot of people forgot that/wanted to dismiss LeBron away and thought Curry was #1....we all saw how that worked out.

of course basketball and baseball are a lot different. At the end of the game you can pick who's hand the ball is in.
What we saw was Curry playing basketball the right way & LBJ incorporating trickery and cheating to win. And before you try to defend his cheating there are pictures showing LBJ holding Steph by the back of his jersey during the games.

So either the Warriors didn't choke being up 3-1 because they lost to a better team. Like the Indians did with the Cubs.

Or the Indians completely choked, like the Warriors because they were up 3-1 to begin with.

Which one is it?

Lets hope- just like with Cavs Warriors- that we get a rematch next year......id love to see the Tribe matchup their dominant sstarting pitching vs. the Cubs.

Kluber vs. Lester
CArrasco vs. Arrieta
Salazar vs. Hendricks
Bauer vs. Lackey

considering it sounds like Chapman will go back to the Yankees this offseason- the Tribe's bullpen advantage could/should be even more pronounced.
