He might be high. he is doing a really bad job in my opinion. We have so many other needs and he picks another safety. that Reid, Ward and now tarrt. Makes no sense. I guess Baalke is admitting that he screwed up on Ward.

Baalke is supposed to go way more BPA than Need. So without thinking "immediate contribution" and what our roster looks like, are these guys the top talents.....in our schemes?

Things change quickly in the NFL, we should know via Willis and Borland. So Needs come up sooner than we know it.

i didnt like taking him in the 2nd rd. the kid does have talent. overall i can live with our draft. i just hate that we will have to wait 2-3 years to see these kids play. we didnt draft any players i think that can help us this coming year. Armstead is the only one that might help

I forgot to add I'm asking that question myself...are all these guys the top talents? Not convinced ALL are?

Your opinion is fine, just that you're expecting too much out of rookies. Don't see how anyone he drafted would've started or otherwise play a lot anyway?

i wanted 2 starters or valuable players for this ear in this draft. we have alot of needs and we got none. maybe 1 with armstead. if smith retires he should be in 2 deep depth chart. this isnt a 12-4 team where we can draft kids for year 2 or 3. we were an 8-8 team.

Baalke reached on most of these picks. Some rookies are more NFL ready than others. Baalke has chosen a bunch of projects. Most are raw. Baalke went beyond BPA and is swinging for the fences on some of these picks. They could be later round steals or big time busts.

Baalke needs to lay off of the crack. Most of these picks make no sense for current needs even if rebuilding. Didn't need a punter but if he had picked a kicker I would have been okay with that pick. The only pick I like is Harold.

What a terrible draft, We needed corners and didn't get any. We also needed more depth and help on o-line. We drafted 3 safeties last years make no sense. And last two drafts were deep in talent for wide receivers and we don't even get one but he waited in the 4th to draft deandre smelter another guy who is injured i guess he likes guys with knee problems, And my favorite pick was when he drafted a punter in 5th RD

i just hate that it was a wasted 5th rd pick. i agree if it was a kicker i can live with it. punter really made no sense that early. unless they cut lee to save a little money.

we have 12 picks next year plus comp picks. we might have up to 15 picks. wow.

i think if we get no starters out of this draft by year 2 or productive starters Baalke is gone

I thought it went well! We covered depth, good upside! The punter is a good punter and is a deep kickoff guy as well as placekicker. He will learn from the best punter in 49er history. Boone is ready to leave and we picked up some big bodies to compete! VD needs a comeback!

Ok guys, didn't get to watch ANY of our picks. But in looking at each of them, the ONLY guy I like(not with the 17th pick) is Armstead.

He needs to be better on 3rd down. Great at run stopping, needs to improve on passing downs.

The rest of this draft was complete shit! Baalke needs to fix his strategy of trading down to take "undervalued" players. Every year, he takes a guy with an ACL or MCL or MCI or PCI or whatever injury, can bank on it! I'm at an all time low for expectations for this team, that's saying something after they hired Tomsula to coach this circus!

Too bad an Oregon Duck has to be part of this! :L

Actually Eli Harold is much better player and will be a better pro player than armstead.

Much better?? As a hybrid DE/OLB sure. Armstead isn't gonna drop back and play LB, no way he's fast enough in coverage. He's a 3-4 DE who's tall and athletic. I think they're both good fits

FWIW, I meant to add Harold as a good pick.
