I'd say the Tartt pick is insurance in case Eric Reid goes down with another concussion. Plus the team fully realizes that if Reid or Bethea get dinged up or miss time Craigh Dahl is the next option and we've all seen it's a HUGE drop off when that happens.

I was in favor of Strong, but from the team perspective his role is held by Boldin and with Torrey Smith a rookie WR was never gonna start. He also may not have been a better slot option over Ellington and Patton. People are upset about the picks not being instant contributors, but lets be real, there is almost no one the team could draft that would be favored to start at any position on our team against the Vikings. Except for maybe Oline.

People may argue Marcus Peters over Dontae Johnson, but I've watched Marcus Peters a ton as a Husky fan and I honestly can't say he would have been better than Johnson last year nevermind now that Johnson has experience.

Well Ekpre-Olomu has first round or in the very least early 2nd round talent so if they can get him in the 4th that would be great value. To me ideally they would draft Ekpre-Olomu and Greene in 4th round. Plus they will draft a LB at some point and probably an O-Lineman as well.

I'm 100% with you on all of that. I would love to get Olomu here.

We could use a slot with speed and with Reggie would have backers running everywhere and we would have a lot of options for Kaep to do his thing!

WRs : Stefon Diggs Maryland, Rashad Greene FSU, Tre McBride William & Mary, Justin Hardy ECU, Kenny Bell Nebraska, Darren Waller GT

RBs : David Cobb Minnesota, Jay Ajayi Boise State, Jeremy Langford MSU, Karlos Williams FSU

QBs : Brett Hundley UCLA, Bryce Petty Baylor, Shane Carden ECU, Bryan Bennett Southeastern Louisiana

TEs : Nick O'Leary FSU, Ben Koyack Notre Dame, Jesse James Penn State, Nick Boyle Delaware

CBs : Ifo Ekpre-Olomu Oregon, Josh Shaw USC, Lorenzo Doss Tulane, Charles Gaines Louisville, Jacoby Glenn UCF, Doran Grant OSU, Kevin White TCU

DT : Michael Bennett OSU, Grady Jarrett Clemson, Gabe Wright Auburn, Marcus Hardison ASU, Ellis McCarhty UCLA

ILB : Taiwan Jones MSU, Hayes Pullard USC, Trey Depriest Bama, Mike Hull Penn State

OT : TJ Clemmings Pitt, Daryl Williams Oklahoma, Austin Shepherd Bama

OG : Tre Jackson FSU, Josue Matias FSU, Arie Kouandjio Bama, Jamil Douglas ASU

I listed players at each position thats left I still like. Even though we already drafted Armstead and Harold I cant believe Michael Bennett from OSU is still on the board. He was projected be be an easy 2nd round pick and I would think about drafting him if he is still on the board. Two other players that were projected early 2nd round picks are Clemmings from Pitt and Jackson from FSU.

If we keep our 3 picks in the 4th round I would want Stefon Diggs, Ifo Ekpre Olomu and Tre Jackson. Also I kinda want Hundley as a backup to Kaep if we go a different route.

Yup I agree but we have to wait 17 picks before our 1 pick in the 4th rd. We then have 3 out of the next 15 picks.

I like your board Gold. Im alittle biased being a FSU fan, but I hope we grab Greene and O'Leary. These guys helped Winston get drafted #1IMO, especially O'Leary. I cant count how many times he bailed him out of a bad throw with a great catch.

I like O'Leary a lot but the thing I dont like about him is he is slow. But I think he has maybe the best hands out of all the TEs in the draft.

Im not sure how I feel about ex QB converted to TE Blake Bell. He has great size at 6'6 and good hands. Blake is a pretty good blocker but this is another project that can take a few years.

True, OLeary is slow but in a two TE set with VD, he will find the whole in the defense an make he sure handed catch.

As much as I hate to say it we are drafting for the future instead of for right now. So it seems we really will be in a rebuilding mode.

DRAFT PROJECTION
Round 4
SOURCES TELL US
"Not the same guy (in 2014). I think he had a rib injury early, but that's not what bothers me. You look at Alshon's conditioning, Clowney's last year and now Davis? He's got talent, but he can't just half-step and think he's going to make our league." -- NFC South scout
NFL COMPARISON
Alfred Morris
BOTTOM LINE
Rhythm runner who is at his best when he's getting plenty of work. Davis has a surprising ability to turn on the jets and get on top of the secondary quickly for long runs, and his north-south mentality is a fit for the pros. With an ability to play on third down as well, the only thing holding Davis back is conditioning. Davis won't make too many defenders miss, so he can't afford to lose the corner speed he showed in 2013. Davis can be a very capable NFL backup with the potential to become a starter.

DRAFT PROJECTION
Round 6 or 7
SOURCES TELL US
"I hate that he tore his ACL. We throw the phrase 'athlete' and 'competitor' around quite a bit in this business, but he embodies that. If he hadn't had a shoulder problem, I think we would be talking about him as a major leaguer right now." -- NFC Area scout
NFL COMPARISON
Eric Decker
BOTTOM LINE
Like Eric Decker, Smelter is a former baseball player with outstanding hand-eye coordination. Both will have entered the draft with questions lingering about a season-ending injury (Lisfranc for Decker). Smelter is an uber-athlete with a background of excellence in every sport he has played. He plays well beyond his experience level at wide receiver. His toughness, natural instincts and football intelligence should earn him a spot on a depth chart, provided there are no lasting effects from his ACL tear.
