Tigers just own us this year... plain and simple.

Come back home for 3 with Tampa, then on the road against a resurgent Pirates team and onto @ Chicago White Sox. Gonna be a fun week ahead... a good test. 5-3 over the next 8 would be great. 6-2 would be outstanding!

3-3 on this trip. Not bad for this team - considering where they were a month ago.

Vargas being sent down makes zero fucking sense. Terry Ryan needs to be put in a home.

Is Vargas playing great? No. But he's hitting well over .300 this month. And now you send him down?

Legit mental.

I understand Arcia may have to DH for a bit when he returns but seriously we don't need scrubs like Nunez, Schafer and Bernier when we have Hicks, Rosario and Varags who are all better, younger and high upside.

It's frustrating even more since our team is actually playing good ball!!

Vargas is getting hits, yeah, but he's been chasing pitches. He needs to make some adjustments. He hasn't been going to the plate with a plan. Just guessing. Pitchers have adjusted to him... He needs to make some adjustments of his own. This isn't a demotion. It's a way for him to play everyday and get instruction. He'll be back soon enough.

It still doesn't make any sense to do it now. We should have done it earlier.

I'm sick of the philosophy if they are young, send them down. If they are old and proven they can't hit just let them keep playing!!

Arcia would have been demoted 7 times already if he was hitting like Schafer. They jerked the guy around for 2 years and it's why he's STILL learning.

Our top prospects are that for a reason they are too good for the minors. They are past getting better down there. It's here they need to play and learn. Except Meyer, idk what the hell is going on with that dude.

Vargas had never even been to AAA yet. He came straight up from AA last year. You have to get past the Gardenhire past and give Molitor a chance... It's a reason why Hicks has struggled. Gardy KEPT him up too long at times, to show the FO the "lack of talent" he was given, trying to get them to spend some. It's just to work on some things and the timing was right. He wasn't going to play while we're in Pittsburgh (DH), and had Monday and Thursday off... so rather than have him just sit around, let him go work on some things. It's not going to be a long trip down.

Don't agree and the one thing I won't blame gardy for is guys/coming up and down. That's all Terry Ryan the GM. Gardy plays his favorites while they are up here.

How about two years ago when Arica was our 2nd best average behind Mauer? Granted he had an AWFUL 4 games stretch of 0-18 baseball but that dropped him too THIRd on the team in average behind Joe Mauer and Justin Morneau. Solid company.

Did Clete Thomas get demoted? Nope. Arcia did.

Minors trip is at least 10 days. Doesn't really make up for the 4 this week.

We are literally the only team that doesn't let our young talent stick and develop. Most teams are getting top prospects up and regular PT at 22 or 23. Our guys are all 24-25 and have no clue what the hell their role is. Did you know Gibson is already approaching 28? Guy hasn't even went 180 innings yet.

There isn't a point in having Arcia, Hicks and Vargas sent to the minors so frequently as they have. They are all clearly too good for minor league baseball. Time to give them a full season of big league ball to see what the hell they can do. If we don't, we are going to be in an endless building cycle because no progress is being made. It's time to sort out our log jam.

Sano, Buxton, Mauer, Suzuki, Santana, dozier have spots for next year

Vargas, Arcia, Hicks, Escobar, Rosario, plouffe are 6 guys for 3 spots. They all need PT and they need it now before Buxton/Sano arrive and take their positions. And I didn't even include Torri who may be back as well.

Why in the holy hell did curly Ryan recall Stauffer? We already got duensing on borrowed time, so he wants to weaken the BP?

Molitor might actually be a miracle worker. 23-17 with a front office that's throwing darts for decisions.

Our offense is awful right now from the 4th inning on.

At least we have a shot to go 4-1 on the road trip with bad offense. I'll take it!!

Maybe our bullpen isn't as weak as we all thought? Maybe it's the presence of Everyday Eddie? Whatever they got... it's working. What's nerve wracking, is Perkins. I know he's perfect in save opportunities, but does he have to allow 2 men on every time?

Yeah Perk make it interesting basically everytime but at least he's closing them all so far.

Our BP is very average, maybe even below average overall. But we are not blowing games which is huge. No blown saves and we are something like 22-1 when leading after 7. The collective era isn't very good since we have games like Sunday vs TB where we implode. But protecting leads Boyer and Perk have been elite. Hopefully Thompson gets it back together.

Stauffer and Duensing just suck. Fine should help soon too.

26 - 18

With Gardy we'd be 18 - 26 and already thinking about 2016
