I hate to say it, but buying out his arbitration years was a bit premature.... as I'd questioned it previously. Appearing more like they should have acted like the past and just kept him on his contract.

He has so much potential but man just can't put it all together.

And what is the point in resigning Hughes for way more money to pull him after 71 pitches and bank on our crap BP getting 12 outs? Molitor biffed that bad.

At least Pelfrey is somehow some way pitching like a boss for now.

Be interesting to see how long they can hang around .500. Hang around until Santana gets back... get some call ups... could be an interesting 2nd half of the season if they can be in the mix. Not necessarily saying they will, but stranger things have happened.

If the bats keep heating up we could hang around for a while. Shame the bullpen is at its weakest it's been in a while.

As for Sano/Buxton. Not off to great starts. They draw walks to at least save the OBP a little. Sano hitting only .159 with 4 bombs.
