Regarding Dozier.

The Good- 6 hits last two days and a big double tonight.

The Bad- two more HUGE outs with men in scoring position 1 and 0 outs.

I harp on it because I know it's the one true thing holding him back from greatness. Productive outs are fine Brian!!!

If the bats keep heating up we could hang around for a while. Shame the bullpen is at its weakest it's been in a while.

As for Sano/Buxton. Not off to great starts. They draw walks to at least save the OBP a little. Sano hitting only .159 with 4 bombs.

Buxton up to .286, player of the week last week!

Back to playing great baseball tonight.

Man, the two losses in this stretch were games we really should have won!! Could be 8 in a row.

But love how we're playing. Nice to have a competitive team for once.

Escobar might be showing last year wasn't a fluke. Issue is we have too many option right no on offense...wish it was the same for pitching.

If the rotation still isn't good as the year goes on we gotta use some pieces in the log jam to get pitching. Still feel like Hunter is taking a much more useful players spot(Rosario).

When Sano and Buxton get here then that's two more spots. At somepoint Plouffe, Escobar, Rosario, Hicks and Dozier could all be used to reel in pithing(obviously we don't trade them all LOL. Just that would be the group to acquire some arms if need be).

Yup. I really like him. Hoping he can be a mainstay in out crowded outfield because he's really talented. Hicks appears to be in the permanent Gomez dog house.

Arcia/Buxton/Rosario is a pretty nice looking outfield at least offensively for the future.

Twins win again! Good momentum heading into the road trip. @ Cleveland. @ Detroit.

Without trying to put the cart before the horse, virtually every series the rest of May looks winnable.

They've started a new club house celebration after wins.... complete with lights out, fog machine and strobe lights. Game MVP is in the center and get's the dancing started. These types of light hearted things have been missing.

Torii has been having some clutch knocks forsure. I Just didn't really like giving him 10 mil to take a outfield spot. At least he's hitting well right now to make it ok. But we are still playing for next year and beyond. Hicks/Rosario/Arcia/Buxton. Lots of PT needs to be given to these guys as well. First step is giving Hicks/Rosario CF for Schafer though til Buxton is ready.

I think we are also seeing the benefit of no more Gardy. Molitor even with some rookie questionable moves seems like he's got a clubhouse and team going. He has fun with guys in the dugout but he's also not some clueless buffoon who defends journeymen blah over talent...probably because he was a good player himself.

Love where we are headed. Just need Terry gone and we are looking real gooooood.
