Well he did have an assist on that crap offside call that should have been a goal. But I felt like he should have taken a shot earlier.

This team just plays to its level of competition and its frustrating. Even in the 2nd half (which was much better than the first), they'd get lazy. It was only 1-0 and they didn't go out of their way pushing for a 2nd goal. They'd get one or two guys forward, but with nowhere to go and they'd circle out or pass back. They didn't fight for corners either. And it ALMOST bit them in the ass. One bad bounce in the box in the 92' minute and Haiti has an easy goal. Fabian Johnson juuuuuust did get that ball out.

Other than Guzan, I thought everyone played like crap. We better improve as this thing rolls on or we are headed for a playoff.

Someone noted Julian Green not being around... I guess he maybe going the way of Freddie Adu.

Just getting around to watching the Haiti game. My thoughts after watching the first half.

1) This referee has been utter shit.

2) Altidore is nowhere near in form. His first and second touches look like shit.

3) Johanssen is probably the lone attacking bright spot. I like him a lot.

4) I like the way garza gets forward.

5) The back four are doing a better job cleaning up the counter attacks, but still need to be better.

6) We have got to stop with the stupid giveaways in midfield. Any decent team would've punished us with two goals that half.

7) the last 10' of the first half were the only decent soccer the U.S. Played.

8) Diskerud is killing us so far.

Overall first half grade: D+.

Mix was awful. There were times where I thought he believed the US was wearing blue jerseys instead of Haiti.

1) Diskeruud improved some in the second half. Not good, but better.

2) Zardes is a difference maker. That guy is on the pitch for two minutes and things start happening. He's improving every single game.

3) Johanssen is really good.aubr our best shot at a creative goal scorer once Dempsey is gone. His off the ball movement is incredible, and he's always got ideas when he's on the ball. I want to see more finishing from him.

4) I'm not sure Altidore is going to find his form this tournament.

5) people bitching about Michael Bradley need to stfu.

6) Dempsey is still the shit. He'll be doing damage at the World Cup in two years.

7) Our back line is still a mess. Was impressed with our CB's composure under fire. Garza got beat way too many times.

8) continued awful giveaways in midfield will hurt us going forward.

9) Guzan is really good. I think Howard will be back in another year, but if he's not I feel very confident going to Russia with Guzan.

10) Zusi put in good work today.

I actually read that Howard is supposed to return in September for our friendly matches with Peru and Brazil

I was very impressed in the first Gold Cup game, then came the game against Haiti...yikes. Really hope to see Zardes and Johannson start up front some time in the near future if Dempsey isn't available. I hate that Jurgen plays Zardes in the midfield cause he isn't much help there. Much better as a striker, and especially since he's found his offensive form in the last few months. Much, MUCH better than he was last year.
