Japan beats England on a late own goal by England. I didn't watch the game but just saw the highlights. Wow. I feel so bad for that girl. I wouldn't wish that on anyone. A truly awful way to lose a game at this level.

Sometimes 'shit" happens. I feel bad for that woman & she looked totally devastated. Julie Johnston had a similar reaction when she gave up that PK. One moment under pressure...

Own goals in the World Cup are the worst. In Colombia, they murder you for that. Well, if its men's soccer. In women's soccer, any other result besides America winning is embarrassing since we encourage our girls to play soccer at a rate 5x higher than the rest of the world.

I'm expecting something like 3-0 against Japan. The US team is going to be focused.

Don't count out the Japanese women, they are very technical, fast and very well coached.
