Good luck to Reuben Jones. This is quite possibly the biggest personal life decision he has made so far.
From my experience, if I had trepidations about something but still did it, then felt like crap afterwards for doing it, I wish that I had listened to my gut instinct.
Olenga just committed to NC State... not out of it yet though... could be a place holder commit like Sykes had with WSU last week. If Olenga still visits, I really like our chances.
Daishon Neal got an offer from Michigan, they are supposedly doing an in-home visit tonight. I would expect the entire defensive staff for Nebraska to go to his house later this week and try to keep him from taking an OV up to Ann Arbor.
Another Michigan flip watch is Matt Snyder, visited over the weekend and had a great time. Harbaugh and Co are supposedly supposed to be in town tonight to try to get him to flip. Mike Riley and Co likely headed there on Thursday to shore things up.
Snyder: I think he stays N, he is enamored with Michigan for the time being but his relationship with Riley is very very strong and the Special Teams coordinator (Read) as well. If he doesn't commit to Harbaugh and Co tonight (or even if he does) and still has an in-home with coach Riley on Thursday, I think he's N.
Neal: I think relationships will ultimately win out with this one. If he visits there could be trouble, but I think Nebraska puts the blitz on and tries to get him to stay firm and not visit. Pressure from peers (like Ferguson and the Twins) could be big too.
I am at the point where I could care less if players commit or decommit. IMO Nebraska is the pinnacle of football and academics. We will win with or without them.
Neal will be on 1620 in Omaha to talk about shutting down his recruitment tomorrow at 8:15, presumably he's N and told Michigan "thanks but no thanks."
Yep, he said that Michigan basically told him he wasn't smart enough to get into Michigan without a football scholarship. Really offended Daishon and the family... Dad said they were shown the door immediately.
